The IRL cars mod list | for v0.36 | 25.07.2025 update

Hello there,

the 0.35 update dropped, which updated the Hirochi Sunburst vanilla car. This has, predictably, had major consequences for some of the cars listed, making them unplayable. I have quickly gone through every mod to check for any issues, here is what i was able to find, not every issue may appear on your end however:

• 1980 Honda Prelude - Front suspension

As far as i can tell, all the other mods should be fine, besides minor texture issues and other flaws they've had before already. I am uncertain how to deal with the broken mods, however, i think i will leave them in the list until further notice.

Hello! I was browsing through some mods you listed and found these 2 things:

1) link for AM General HMMWW seems broken
2) At least in my opinion, there is no need to set "UNPLAYABLE" for Toyota Tacoma 2022 mod. I activated this mod to see if this is really unplayable - and it is drivable, except in some configs there are wrong wheels. Overall mod quality is extremely bad, I know that, but it doesnt meet your definition of "unplayable" mod.

 

Yeah, i assume the HMMWV mod got snatched away by Bohemia Interactive, unfortunately. Thank you for letting me know! The Tacoma mod is a mixed bag for me and i have been thinking how to label it, but i've given it another look and i guess you are right. The quality of the mod is horrific and most configs spawn without tires but i guess as long as at least any configs spawn with tires, it could get a pass.

 

can you specify which are meshslaps and which are custom Jbeam?

 

Yeah, that's exactly what happened. I knew that was a possibility when I made it lol, not really surprised.
It will be coming back eventually, but I have to remake the entire 3D model from scratch so as not to upset
my beloved Bohemia Interactive Studios again lol

I also have an ArmA-meshslapped Datsun 620 mod, but I've taken down the download so hopefully it doesn't
get nuked too! I currently have no plans on updated or changing that mod though. It's too old and has too
many problems, not the least of which is the copyright problem lol....

Keep your eyes peeled because I've had more time to mod recently, but it'll definitely still be a good while.
It's a LOT of modeling!



Good list btw, this is the first I've seen of it. I'll definitely have to check out some of the other mods on it!

I posted a fix for the celica st205 by the way.

 

Renault 5 Turbo is not broken as far as I know. It works fine with the fix at page 4.

I've gotten quite a few mods from this list already, but I came here to say that it directly inspired me to make a similar list, but with forum & repo mods that are high quality enough that they approach, match, or possibly even exceed vanilla assets (this includes vanilla-like maps, lore-friendly cars, and a few extras). I just wanted to ask if it's okay if I post that list, since this list was what made me come up with the idea of a "high quality mods that blend with the game well" list.

Thank you. It'll be a while until I actually make the list though (it's currently just some ideas stored in my head at the moment, but I'll manage it no problem). Until then I'll download more mods to try out, I'm already pushing close to 300 anyways.
