The regulations weren't aggressively mandated to meet emissions standards until that time. Malaise didn't technically start until the max horsepower for most full size car models dropped below 200 horsepower. The 455 v8 on this 1973 delta 88 still output nearly 280 horsepower. I've noticed another error, and that is that the factory stock configs should be called the Hardtop Sedan; the name Town Sedan was only used for pillared sedan models regardless of trim level.
Hardtop sedan sounds like an oxymoron Isn't a sedan a car with a pillar? Like a 2dr sedan vs a 2dr hardtop? So it would be a 4dr hardtop right? Or am I just tripping

Overall I like it, the door chime is very loud but still pretty cool and the engine sounds sound great, love the port we need more mods like this an Idea I got for a mod you should make next is a 80s Chrysler with the EVA (Electronic Voice Alert) this is a example of it
It could use some tweaks and fixes like the broken texture for the glass seems very off to me, also the descriptions and names for the configs could probably use some polish to bring them closer to the style of the base game but this has the potential to be a very good mod IMO and it is already pretty high quality
This mod lacks one key feature of those old American roadboats: There is no option for power steering. And I would appreciate smaller improvements like a worn out interior and separate door cards and glass, but I am really being nitpicky here. It certainly is an overall good mod with nice configs and features.
