WIP Beta released Sierra Summit Raceway

    Hello all, I just recently posted my first map to the repo.
    I would like to have this serve as a discussion thread for people to request features or report issues.

    This WIP map is a motorsports complex set in a non-descript mountainous region in Colorado.
    The road course facility is designed to accommodate large-scale international racing series like WEC, INDYCAR, IMSA. The road course also features two alternate road course layouts for local club and HPDE driving. A 6-turn rallycross track is tucked in the Turn 1 & 2 infield.​


    I would appreciate any and all feedback on this map while it is in an early stage and still (relatively) easy to change. I am not a good drifter and my RX skills leave a lot to be desired so I am struggling to properly test these features/layouts as I work on them. Any guidance that I receive will be greatly appreciated.

    Finished Features:
    GP Track with multiple configurations
    Rallycross track
    Prepped asphalt Drag strip [with working lights, timing boards, and slips]

    WIP Features:
    1/2 Mile dirt oval
    Kart Track
    Multi-stage rally (pace notes, eventually)
    Forest grassroots rallycross track
    Drift Track

    Planned Features:
    Water drag strip
    Jet boat racing course (hoping this inspires someone to make a mod!)​

    This is one of my favorite track mods, I have gotten some wild crashes in the T1 runoff

    I did some racing on the track with my friend in beammp and it was pretty fun. The track allows for so much side by side and passing opportunities. With heavier cars like the barstow, the chicane after turn 1 is very tricky to get through consistently and quickly while battling. Would it be possible to maybe add a straight line option to bypass the chicane?

    Yeah I definitely agree something like at Monza turn one would be great for that section

    perhaps in turn the chicane itself could be tightened for more of a challenge to the cars that do handle it well

    Hello. Still having that texture issue. I have no idea what a clean isntall is, but I uninstalled it, and downloaded it via files. This is what I see. I have cleared my cache. I will clear my cache once again to see what the issue is, then I might do a deep scan of cache, or whatever its called. Will update upload_2025-7-12_8-18-22.jpeg

    I meant that I used a fresh copy of Beam.NG instead of the copy I am using to build my map. I will look into how to fix this.

    Won't be fixed for 0.19 which I just uploaded for approval, but will definitely be in the next one.

    Cleared cache, still happening. Might be on my end, but thanks for lookin into this, great map btw.

    Same thing happened to me tried clearing cache didn't work so its not just you

    Also completely unrelated but the ai traffic/race mapping is slightly broken on the exit of what a believe is turn 4 they decide to just drive into the wall on the right side not that important but just wanted to point it out

    Fixed the tree issue in 0.20!

    I think I found the cause of the AI issue you are having - the navigation road is messed up right there. That will be fixed in 0.21 (fixed it after I submitted 0.20)

    Yes!! Thank you for letting me know.

    I have been struggling with 'repackaging errors' when uploading the updates here on the repo, but it has been fixed on my end since the 15th haha
