Hey guys, so I downloaded the most recent version of the mod but when I press G Herbie doesn't do the wheelie and Herbie doesn't swim either does anyone know how to fix that? everything else works fine besides those two things
Not sure about the swim stuff, but the wheelie should work. Ensure the key is still mapped. For me 0.36 broke the input maps for me and I had to reassign it. May this is also the case for the swim stuff?
Seems like the same problem with the Hi Rail D Series mod. Try reloading LUA (Ctrl-L) and see if that works. It did for me.Also, if you change anything on Herbie, no matter how minor, you have to reload the lua code again. Its gotta be a bug in 0.36 or something. --- Post updated --- Oh, almost forgot to give credit to Watson inc who made the Hi Rail D Series mod for the temporary "fix". I can't figure this stuff out myself.
Hey! I know I'm one of the more commonly active ones on the thread, so I'm sorry if my constant additions are annoying, but I wanted to sit down and spit out some ideas (not specifically Herbie related for once) and suggestions for the mod, and would love to get some feedback and conversation going! Some will be weird and others might seem nit-picky, but I promise everything I say or suggest is with really good intentions and positive! I love this mod, it's easily my favorite Beam mod, and would just love to give some positive feedback is all! SUGGESTIONS AND IDEAS; Aftermarket pod mount Tachometer for the interior. One thing I love in this game is driving in first person, and immersing myself in the game, and while the Beam.NG UI tach exists, having something in the car that can read past the 4 or 5k the current one can would be wicked, plus it does give some more customization options for the beetle. Some more aftermarket body parts (see NFS Unbound post). Something I did previously state that would be wicked cool to see would be the addition of parts from other games featuring the 63' bug, and a big one being the NFS series! The customization options it would bring would allow for anyone, either fans of the 63 bug, Herbie, or just car people in general, to really create their own build and car! Custom exhausts/Exhaust tips? Sort of building off the last idea, another really cool idea would be to add in some more tailpipe/exhaust tip options. Currently, the only things that exist are one exit, two exit, or just no exhaust. I think adding in a few different tip options, such as square, oval, specialized-shapes, or rounded square exhaust tips would be amazing, plus the option for a side exit behind one of the tires could be cool Running Board color customization. One thing that honestly surprised me not to see, is the option to color the running board yourself. I love making different styles of builds, whether it be Herbie or my own, and often times, the color matched running board can make the car look sleeker or tie it together, The options in game are either black, or strictly Herbie colors. I think getting rid of the Herbie ones and making it either "Black" or "Exterior Matched" would be great! You get the best of both worlds for everyone. Under-fender paint/plastic. One thing I know a lot of VW owners did, whether it was done after the fact, or came factory i do not know, but painting having the insides of the Fenders black, or an option to do so, would be amazing! Beam.NG's lighting engine is... a little odd, and its frequently that the sun light bleads through the car, and causes the inner-fenders to light up, and it creates this weird trippy effect. Idk how possibly this is, cause it is an odd/weird one, but an option for this as well would be awesome!! More Spedometer types? The two already in-game are both super nice already, both for MPH and KPH, but I think adding in some more options, like weird aftermarket ones, could again, provide for some really cool and unique builds for players to make! I know I showcased and sent the 200MPH one from Fully Loaded a little while back, but perhaps putting something like the Beam pod in there as an option could be cool, maybe with a built in shift light for when ur not running the stock engine. Thats about everything I could think of! Again, I ABSOLUTELY love this mod, and would love to see it go further!!
You need to get Herbie to trust you enough to do so. (It should start working when the engine temp is very low. The lower the engine temp, the more he likes you)
