This is the progress so far, still some stuff left to add and fix. Now it's 3D. There is odometer (left) which tracks total distance and trip (right) which resets every time you reset or refuel the car, both of them reset with CTRL+R. Instant consumption bar changes color depending on economy. Speed, gear etc. readouts get updated every ~500ms which is more realistic. Everything is customizable including gauge faces, backlight color, needles and ring backlight color. You can suggest ideas. Will probably make it available for ETK K series in the future. Steering wheel could be uploaded too but im not sure because it's too similar to a real car.
Looks really good. My suggestion is an alternative ttsport gauge cluster that has a regular 330 km/h speedometer but 7500-8000 rpm range (imo i6 sport models look kinda off with gauges scaled up to 9500 rpm while having 7500 rpm redline)
Ok i can do that, i have more ideas but the gauge cluster variants menu will get too many options, it will start to look like the wheels list. The mod is 95% ready but 0.36 made the gauge screen have black background which goes against my idea of what the display size should be and i can't edit this damn texture with html so currently im searching for help with that.
Yes, of course this will be compatible with the liftback (if i fix it someday). This reworked gauges mod will have more stuff like interior buttons backlight and footwell light that will also be compatible with the multiple interior colors in the Harzer Mountain Tuning (HMT) mod by xpogosam
I managed to fix the screen, now i need a bit more time to check everything and adapt all textures. Thinking about making the gauge cluster colorable in order to have a cleaner part menu but first i need to learn how to do that. And i have a question, if no ttSport car (or 6 cylinder engine in general) can go past 8k rpm then why did they make the ttSport cluster like rennspecht? thinking about reducing ttSport cluster rpm by 1k to 8k
I think reducing the cluster to 8k is a good idea and you could just keep the rennspecht one as it is. For me the biggest problem with the vanilla gauges is that those yellow dots (that tell you to get ready to shift) are pretty much on i6's rev limiter so the redline doesnt mean anything
Apologies for delaying the mod a little bit more but it will be for the better. Figured out a way to make the backlight color changeable and now i need to redo part of how the mod works in order for everything to work together. I'm talking about this backlight and these are very early screenshots
