On Hold Pontoon D-Series Remake?

I feel like maybe we should try and restore the D-Series pontoon mod, it got some pretty cool features like retractable pontoons.

I don't have much coding knowledge in BNG, but I do know how it works. I'll first try changing the attached nodes of the rotation

I'm going to get the 0.3 vehicle pack mod and try out the OG cars first

 

I know for a while this and the Moonhawk (Land)boat were available on the repo, but they must've been removed

The Moonhawk’s still there, and it works (at least in 0.29, it did).

 

Pontoon is still on the repo too, I have it subscribed on the in-game page.
I'll see what I can get off of filman86's floating d series mod on the arm retraction and the pressure rooms since newer versions use very different physics from the old versions

 

I'm going to hold this project for now since I have school and I want to work on a Me-262 Meshalp with custom jbeams, that's also a great way for me to get more modding knowledge and experience

@jgb has made a fixed version, but the original creator said that they're planning to make their own fix, so it's been removed. I think you might be able to get it from jgb, but no guarantees.

 

It wasnt that much of a fix, If anyone wants to know what exactly I did i dont see a reason to hold it, simply unpack the mod, go into the jbeam files, and change the beamType to |NORMAL
This should stop the pontoons from, well, exploding when you attempt to expand them if i can remember correctly. The only other issue is that they are no longer connected to the truck, as all or almost all node names have changed since the mod was made with revamps/refresh's for the d-series are released. I do not have the mod version that I fixed so I cannot give it out, as well as what happyhusky said, the original creator plans to fix it someday.
