I decided to redo the airport near the Costa Rilassante to be more like a proper airport rather than some poor version of it. It will be a bit better looking than before and with no walls on each side of the strip and there will be two strips instead of one.
Definitely like to see more points of interest. This is already a blast with friends on my BeamMP Private server. Cruising from one end of the map to the other and what not. Great project either way!
Hello. I have some unfortunate news, it's another delay but this time it's not for some silly reasons, more so for my safety. Just today where i live (Chernihiv region, Ukraine) has been massively attacked and most of the attacks this time happened near or in my street. Many buildings got damaged, people got hurt and a lot of work places sent everyone home for safety reasons. If i decide to do it, i'll leave the city, leaving behind my PC which is where the map is in. I know some people desperately want the map to be released finally to the repo but i have absolutely no control over what's happening around me that could affect the progress of the map for the millionth time. I would've stayed but the scale of the attack is so severe i have to leave the city for safety reasons and return when it's all safe and greenlit for return. Please, take this with understanding, i do not want to hear "But dude i want the map now" or any of that sort, my main priority here is safety, not just for myself but also for my family as well. I have no control over what's happening right now and i have to somehow avoid them safely. Thanks for understanding, and i wish everyone a safe and happy day.
hey man, the map may be great for us, but your safety is much more important than a custom mod map made for a game. Please be safe out there, we wish you good luck to you and your family.
Hey man, staying safe is priority above all Let me know if you need any help with the airport, im not good at modelling but im an amateur pilot/nerd
Hello. I'm back home now and i have just finished up doing the final things and i decided to call it quits there and packed everything into the mod. The final size of the mod file is 857 MB (before uploading it to the repo) and i have to mention some big issues this map will have on release that i couldn't find a fix to and probably need some help from a fellow mapper. Problem 1: When opening the big map (that's the "M" key) the map would not show any mission points or spawn points. It's bugged. This is a 0.35's fault, because in the updates prior to this, the big map worked just fine. In the console it shows this error: I couldn't find the thing that causes this and the console doesn't help me at all so i'll leave it to the people who can help me out. Thank you in advance. Problem 2: Decals (and by this i mean things like the road decals like asphalt and road lines) seem to have doubled layer look to it, and when loading into a different map after Lands of Sands, every decal is seen through the car. I might've accidentally ticked something or could be something else causing this issue. Just like with the previous one, i couldn't find a solution, so mappers, help me out here. Again, thanks in advance. But, even then, the map works just fine (at least for me it does) and mission markers still show up, just not on the bugged big map screen along side the spawn points. I will put the map on the repo and i'll be absolutely waiting for any feedback to see if the map works for anyone else. I have no time for testers so there will be a lot of errors. I also will point out that i am never allowing this map to be sold at all, not even with my permission. You can reupload it, but you cannot sell it. It's free and it's shit, don't make it a paid product, it will never sell. If i do get it on repo, the version you get on the Google Drive will be deleted and will no longer be supported. If you report any issues from those versions - i will not provide any solutions apart from updating the map. Lastly, i want to thank anyone who has been supporting this "little" map project i have done. This started as an experiment and many people liked it and gave me feedback which made it get even better. I'm hoping for more feedback to come in as soon as it gets on repo (hopefully) and when the time is ready, i'll try to fix some things i didn't notice or try to improve the map in some way or another. I'll see you all later, and i'll head to make some stuff before i could post it on the repo. If i even could, that is. See you all next time!
its really nice to know that you are safe now and we all fully understand that you need to move on stuff youve been working hard on this map cannot wait for it to maybe arrive on repo or just Link
So, good news, i managed to compress the map by a lot for faster download. The map went from 857 MB down to 277 MB!!! I have done this using @AlexKidd71 's BeamNG Tools for Map builders program. It actually worked straight away and i understood it's UI pretty fast. I haven't found issues and so far, i'm happy with what it's done. --- Post updated ---
Glad that it worked for you. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you get stuck or something isn’t working.
It worked right away, and the map didn't seemed to have any issues what so ever caused by the program, no texture loss or anything of that sort. Great tool of yours, i would recommend it to any mapper out there.
