This is the (on hold) Massive Race Car pack. This car pack will consist of a lot of new race cars that I have rarely seen in Beam. Including Super GT, IMSA, WEC, GT3, and so on. I haven't fully started yet, but I do have plans, so the project is on hold for now. Now, to answer questions that will probably be asked, 'can you add road version?????' no. I will add multiple paint schemes for each car and the purpose of this pack is because I never saw any proper non-automation LMP mods that are actually pretty good, the only decent one is the old Mazdaspeed 787B. the LMP prototype EVO isn't that bad either, and the Porsche 919 EVO too. This pack will also consist of lore-friendly race cars. What I will do is add them each as a config in one pack, new configs being added each upd. I have no experience in modding, let alone Blender, but I will learn. And once I do, I will try my best, since I'm not the best at coding either. First I am now replanning to do Group C and very fast old race cars, like the Escudo Pikes Peak. If I don't leave this on hold, then I will predict the first car or two will come later this year, or next year.
start by doing parts first, if you start with an car you'll either cancel it or abandon it in some weeks
Yep I understand, I'm just using this for reference. I don't really know how to mod, and one thing that's in the way: my end of year exams are here so yeah
Also, I will plan to get the lore-friendly ones only to be put on the repo. --- Post updated --- Oh and, the GT cars that go with them will be included too.
I actually met one of the Jaguar Race Team who was involved in that over 20 years ago, sadly he has passed away, but he was Johnnie Dumfries if your wondering and he raced in F1 in 1986 along side Ayrton Senna
Exactly Also I'm still deciding on this, don't rush me --- Post updated --- Holy moly I'm getting curious that is AMAZINGLY COOL!!!
Yep Mount Stuart Classic, 2003, on the isle of Bute, its not around anymore but a friend of ours introduced us and we got exclusive access to the estate sadly he passed away due to cancer a couple years ago, but I will never forget him or what he gave us which was a signed copy of a book that I have sadly now lost which was annoying
Can anyone find some Porsche 963 blueprints that I can use for the car? Can't find any myself --- Post updated --- Hold on nevermind --- Post updated --- Finished up for now. Gonna carry on either today or early tomorrow, because I have a 3-race karting 'grand-prix' waiting for me late into tomorrow
Gonna keep this on hold because I have a lot of other stuff to do for the week, will immediately start again in the half term.
Do you think you could be able to Make a Corvette C7.R or C8.R, since no one has really done that for Beam NG --- Post updated --- or like plan it
Why not, I've seen a lot of corvette mods and no .R variants. I'll accept requests from anyone for this mod btw. Yep, not many proper endurance cars exist in Beam at the moment, I can only think of russian bolide meshslaps, that old 787, the scintilla GT3, and the K-series GT3.
On hold AGAIN, my school break is over tmrw. I haven't worked on the porsche much but i will try to get back in it. Like i said because of my inexperience I will need help, but the mod will be released under my name. The mod is planned to be free, not paid at all. When it will be released, a beta variant of the first car with no livery will be there. Until I update it, it will be like that.. Also, the release will not be openable, but I promise it will be updated to fit that. Like I said, I'm still in the stages of actually modeling the porsche.
Replanning. My first attempt will not be the Porsche 963, but general Group C cars since I love racing them in Gran Turismo. (and older le mans in general)
I am aware I'm constantly replying to this which might be annoying, but I just wanted to say I'm deciding on a starter car for the Le Mans cars in this pack. That being, the Nissan R89C. It was one of the medium-speed opponents I found while playing in Gran Turismo 5, what I mean is that there were slower Le Mans cars, cars with medium speed, and cars at the front of the pack. (the image included being the car) What I'm planning to do with this is to make a high-detail variant, but also make another less-detail 'Standard' variant, which uses the same model as the one in the image. The standard variants would be a feature from GT5, but in Beam would work to increase framerate, like with traffic cars. This could be used when doing races, using this variant as an AI opponent. (also in the case of any ferraris i will rename them in thumbnails and in the filenames but will actually make them ferraris ingame)
Now just wanted to show this (also I'm coming back to the project, although because of school there will be minimal development just by myself and I'm looking to get help). These are all the existing Le Mans prototypes in Beam. Each are quite old, the Mazda functioning the best, although a lot of problems with it, the FFE open-roof prototype being pretty quick and on the repo, although the merc and porsche are just bolides. Once I get this released, I will make sure to remake the FFE with permission however, because it is lore-friendly.
