WIP Arctic Circle Raceway

[WIP]

The Arctic Circle Raceway is a racetrack in Norway just below the arctic circle near the city of Mo i Rana. It was built in 1995 on an old quarry and features a 3.75km (= 2.33mi) long, undulating track through beautiful scenery.
Due to it's location, the sun stays up almost 24h a day in the summer and almost never comes up in the winter.
I will try to represent this with the in-game sun, making it move across the sky as if it was the 14th of May, the day it is on the map.



A few months ago I was looking around on racingcircuits.info to look for a new project, and stumbled across this https://www.racingcircuits.info/europe/norway/arctic-circle-raceway.html track.

It's not a port, I will be making this from scratch

i started today and that's when i made the thread

 

the sun now travels how it would at the real-life location on may 14th (the day that it is on the map) with sunrise around 3:20 and sunset at 22:30

 

track surface is taking shape

 

not much change to see from so far, but the track surface is now done!

 

Latest changes:
- PBR Terrain Materials
- Bigger backdrop
- Grass
- Sandtraps

 

A lot of trees have been added

 

after almost exactly 2 months and 7020 objects placed, the guardrails are finally done!

This is an awesome project how far have you done so far?
any updates, and is it possible to download the files ?

I live close to the Track , and is there often.

I did this project in UE5 also.
If you still are working on the project, I can help you provide some photos or 3D scan of buildings\objects.
