From what I know, we only need to put the word "police" in the config name for any car to be able to get runners and make arrests by stopping the vehicles (ramming them to a full stop).
Problem is that spawned AI police cars still chase the player cop as well, as if they dont know that the player is also a cop.
We even get chased by AI cops after helping them in a car chase using police cars of our own.

This is probably a small missing flag or something in the code for the AI behavious and shouldnt be hard to fix.
If someone would be kind enough to look into this from the dev side, that would be appretiated.

Until then, I'll just be playing GTA 5 Enhanced :D

I second that. The random fleeing vehicle is one of my favorite casual parts of the game -- but it's been the biggest issue I've had with the game for a couple years now. The rules of when/where/why this spawns has changed with versions and the logic isn't clear. An example -- Modding a standard police vehicle seems to breaks it (I had a sleeper LeGran that was a blast. I miss it for patrols, as now it isn't recognized as Police, despite the designation).

Any insight would be awesome! Thanks, WW

I got this reply in another post related to same problem:

You can fix this small issue by simply opening the mod file, find the info.json of the police config (e.g. info_policejp.json) and change "Config Type" from "Factory" to "Police".

I was not aware of this and havent tested it since I'm currently not playing BeamNG due to a bunch of other issues with latest patch and maps not working properly.
I'm also hooked on GTA Online just because it has so many innocent pedestriansto mash with various vehicles - something BeamNG also would benefit from :D
