I do know it has obscene amounts of axle hop when the rear wheels are slipping, but i admit i don't know whether it's intentional or not
Devs and fans alike, we're always cookin' here! We never starve the flame of oxygen and we gotta let'em devs cook! --- Post updated --- Hmmm, pacenotes! Very nice! I'm gonna try. Rallying mode out! Also, I hope the bronze Rally Miramar of the new Showreel gets added sometime, it looks really cool! --- Post updated --- The Barstow does that too and it's normal because both cars have leaf springs at the rear, complete with equally lightly loaded rear ends. It's perfectly normal, if you ask me.
I would love if the racing versions of the Miramar had rear disc brakes! But then again, I remember that the Hakosuka Nissan Skyline GT-R had rear drum brakes, and they seem to be accurate given the years that the Miramar was produced.
Maybe? Probably not in this update, but I could see a remaster giving it a LHD version. While Gabe has mentioned the Sunburst getting a RHD version, he's never mentioned the Miramar getting a LHD version. The Pigeon and Wigeon are most likely staying RHD (as is the Wydra), but the Miramar certainly has a stronger possibility of being LHD. EDIT: Nevermind, turns out that Gabe did have plans for a LHD Miramar. And considering the BX Gavril V8 swap and H-Series side doors happened, I wouldn't be surprised if the LHD Miramar also happened. Speaking of the Miramar's rear axle, it's one of the few cars in the game that has only leaf springs in the rear as an option. The Burnside also only has leaves in the rear. Since the T-Series and Wentward both have airbags (EDIT: the T-Series has airbags as options, the Wentward comes standard with them), the MD-Series is the only other vehicle to only have leaves as options. (The Wydra doesn't have any springs at all.)
The teaser of the drivetrain driving is what I'm talking about in this. That video was posted in the Development media thread btw
You are tweaking bro first page of the Miramar vehicle thread there is talk about LHD. I think it was supposed to be LHD originally
I didn't see it in my searches (I tried looking up "miramar lhd" from Gabester, and didn't find anything). I included it in my OP. Also, wow, 13 years ago. I mean, yeah, pretty much. The Covet remaster was 7 years after that post, while the BX remaster was 9 years after that post.
Speaking of Gabe, what happened to him? His Forum profile says he was last online in November 29th, 2022. Plus I haven’t seen him chat in Beamcord
Yep, even its widebody race rear axle has leaf springs (and race leaf springs at that)! Also, not all rear suspension designs of the T-Series have airbags, the Walking Beam one doesn't! As for the Barstow, put the 4-link rear axle, put the race springs and shocks, put the race limited slip diff and put a set of 15x9 or 15x10 slicks to top it off and you've got a weapon! The 291 TrackSport is, by a wide margin, the best handling variant of the Barstow!
I kinda misinterpreted what I was saying - I'm aware that the T-Series has leaf springs as options. And yes, the Barstow with coils can handle really well. The Lancehead is my personal favorite configuration of the Barstow, since it's very balanced and decently easy to slide or race.
The Lancehead is one of my favourites too (it's also got the 4-link rear axle, plus its 423CUI V8 has plenty of grunt), although it would look infinitely better painted in the Medallion Gold colour with Pearl White stripes in the vehicle selector. After all, the animal that christened this variant, the Lancehead pit viper, has a golden skin! Not only that, but the "Snake" theme could further be used for the fast variants of the Barstow (and the Gavril models in general) and each of them could have it own special signature badging! RoadSnake (formerly known as the "RoadSport") = A silver snake with a winding road behind it. TrackSnake (formerly known as the "TrackSport") = A red snake with two crossed waving checkered flags behind it. KingSnake = A silver snake with a golden crown behind it. NightSnake = A black snake with a silver full moon behind it (meaning it gets mad like a vampire when full moon is up). Lancehead = A golden snake with two crossed bones behind it (due to the Lancehead being poisonous and deadly)!
I said that in a much more hurtful way than I had to sorry man I’m sure you only tweak every once in a while like the rest of us
I think that just gives more credence to the theory that the Sunburst isn't being remastered, but completely remade. Same with the suspension components not exactly lining up.
