I guess I could do that, but I don't really want to spend $5 on something I'll probably never use just so I can get an older version of a game that I already own. I actually really like that game, too bad I got it as a steam key from my older sister who has a lot more money than me. I wanted her to get a gift card for this reason, but she just refused, probably because she thought that I was getting scammed, which is fair. Yes, I'm cheap. No, I won't change I think it's better if I just ask my friend tho, just so I don't annoy you too much
As far as I know buying something is the only way to get a verified account and change game versions.
I'm no expert so it might work, but it probably won't. It would be easier to just suck it up, look for a cheap game on sale, and buy it.

Proudly, haven’t changed my C drive’s name since I started touching computers (I don’t remember the grass color at this point) I’ve got the same amount of SSD storage in my C drive and it’s been doing its job quite well, even though I have quite a lot of games and other stuff installed on my PC. So I got a weird ahh story... Yesterday I was hanging out with buddies when one randomly says to me. "Your old enougth to sleep with asher my cat." (A female cat for context). And at first I ask "What?", and then he says how the cat is 21 in cat years and I am closer to 21 than he is. (I'm 18 and he's 16.) And when he says that I says something like "Bro... what the crap, why are we even talking about sleeping with a cat?", thinking it was a random sex joke. And then he reacts like I'm a bit of a perv and says "Dude not like that! I didn't mean that kinda sleep!" Then I react by saying "Dude, you basically told me she was the age of consent! After telling me I could sleep with the cat! What did you expect?" After that we kinda just moved on. So I have a question. Am I a perv here? Or is he just painfully stupid?
