The caldera ethics dilemma

So, I'm about to release an update for the caldera. I made a new model a few years ago, but the issue is I "traced" over the model of an old Russian mod. So I still modeled it by hand, but it's really similar to the reference model. Would that count as stealing the model?

 

i doubt that counts as (afaik) most modelers use reference images when modeling so this is just the next step up from that

 

That settles it then, I'll use it
