It's not even close to that & you know it.

Besides, as far as this mod goes, you don't even have to pay a subscription. I've seen enough complaints about that here to know most people aren't even bothering to take a look.

    >I literally create a simile
    >"That's wrong and you know it"

    ???

Now you're just being disrespectful. If you would have "bothered to take a look," you would see that I've had this conversation with the mod author already, as the one-time purchase was not originally part of the post. This is why I personally have no problem with this mod, as I know a subscription is not the long term plan.
My point is that we shouldn't blindly support anyone who makes paid mods. There are plenty of "creators" out there (NOT the one involved in making this mod, this one's good :3) that ask exorbitant prices for slop-tier content, and if someone only releases their mods as a subscription then you're theoretically paying an INFINITE price if you want to keep getting updates. At $5/month, that means I would pay more for 5 months of mod updates than the FULL PRICE of BeamNG, which has never and hopefully will never charge for an update. Again, I have no problem with people donating to creators if they feel they deserve it, and creators have a right to set whatever price they want, but I will not let YOU tell ME (or anyone else) what you think the objective value of someone's work is. That's all.

    -----------

On a completely different subject, WOW I've been having a lot of fun with this mod. I just discovered the chains in my vehicle selector and my jaw actually dropped. I've been looking for a general purpose chain mod for YEARS, and this madlad just packed it in as a bonus! Good stuff.

If that's what you see as disrespect, you have some harsh lessons coming in life.

I'm just tired of seeing all of the complaints about paying for mods in general. If you don't want to pay for it that's totally fine but mod authors don't owe you or anyone else anything for free, they choose to offer it for free.

On the subject of the mod, it's really coming along. There are many offerings for those who enjoy heavy wreckers.

I'm also tired of seeing people complain for no reason, some mods (like this one) are well worth it! Like most things, it's a complicated issue that too often gets boiled down to the extremes. :3

this doesn't make any sense, I just stated facts. if money is someone's only incentive to mod a game then they shouldn't have started in the first place. I understand charging money for your work, but you should be passionate about your work. (by the way I know VMFunPhysics is VERY passionate) But a lot of these modders are not and are just looking for a quick cash grab. And like I said in my first post. IF there is a final release with a one time payment I WILL buy it.

I'm just curious what the Theoretical axle ratings on the JD 50/60 would be. I noticed unloaded the truck already has 46k on the tandem axles which would be about the legal limit of 2 23k axles. Are these 40K axles? or is this still because the truck is a work in progress? No hate. I think so far you have done an amazing job.

I'm not sure what the axle rating should be exactly. But I do know how much this truck weighs in real life. And this configuration without twin steer weights around 32 tons irl. The truck on T-series weights 30.6 tons - so it's slightly lighter unless you add the front extra weight there. I'm not sure if Beam actually has some kind of axle limit stated on their rear axles - I have not been able to break them yet.

While Beam NG doesnt have axle limits all On road Highway semi trucks in the U.S. and Europe have legal weight ratings for the truck and individual ratings for each axle. Generally most dually drive axles hover around 20k limit most have a 23k max. But Mack does offer 40k dually drive axles. Super single steer axles are around a 20k limit. Truck is awesome and I knew it was heavy and so I put it on the scale to see where all the weight landed out of curiosity. Just curious, are you using the real life truck GVWR as a baseline for weight or are you using an actual weight slip from a scale? Maximum weight and unloaded weight can vary a lot.

I am using the info a guy who drives it in real life game me. This was an automated truck scale. This was when I made the twin steer version with the T880 cab before this. Since I made all the chassis there myself - I had more control over the weight of the chassis.

The drive axles are named "trailer" axles on this paper. And tag is named "drive". And looks like tag was used while on scale.

Very awesome. So dang. Yeah this thing is just heavy asf unloaded. EDIT: I just looked it up. Tow trucks are exempt from legal weight ratings as long as they are moving a "dead" vehicle directly to a repair shop.

Would the rotator be apart of this free release or would that be paid exclusive?
