Hello! I switched from a GTX 750Ti to a GTX 670 on my pc, and the graphics were fine before. Now, the car is really dark on some places, and when i turn on Dynamic Reflections it gets even worse. I already reinstalled BeamNG, and verified the Integrity. What else could this be? The drivers are also up to date, the newest version.

    Dynamic Reflections on:

    Dynamic Reflections off:

Before you say its due to the mod map, i have already had this issue for multiple days since i switched to the old GPU, and its on all maps like this. Its also really dark in the Interior. If anyone could help me with this, it would be nice. I also tried playing with the graphics settings. Nothing helps. Its on the Normal graphics preset. Would love if anyone could help with this!

Was ambient occlusion enabled when you were changing graphics settings? It makes shadows quite a bit darker when enabled.

Already thought about that and tried with turning it off, it sadly didnt help. I also noticed the car was really chromey like and not really the PBR like you would see normally, reflected too much pretty much.. I dont know if its my GPU, but i had it in this pc before and BeamNG worked normally with it.

What about matte and satin finishes, do they also look "chromey"?

    Have you tried safe mode?

Could you tell me the settings to put for matte and satin finishes? If its 0% Metallic, 0% Clearcoat and 100% Roughness, and 3% Clearcoat Roughness, then no, it just looks like pure plastic with no reflection at all or any effect, like the old game before PBR, without reflection

    I haven't yet. I can try that.

Looks like this with safe mode. Dont know if it looks normal like this, as i kinda forgot how its supposed to look normal. If it looks normal, should i just delete the user folder then?

You can move your userfolder to your desktop or something, launch the game to create a new one, and then move back anything you want to keep, such as mods, configs, etc. Make sure that you check the game after moving something back, as it can cause the issue to come back.

It does nothing. Even in safe mode, this doesnt look normal. This is with dynamic reflections on btw, and on a vanilla map.

To me, that definitely looks like ambient occlusion, but I could be wrong. Have you tried resetting your NVIDIA Control Panel 3D settings? Also, what does it look like with lowest settings?

I reinstalled the whole game and the road textures are normal now, but the car still looks weird. Ambient Occlusion does nothing. Ill send some images, and i havent tried resetting my NVIDIA Control Panel 3D Settings yet, so i can try that. Ill try it after this message

    Ambient Occlusion off:

    Ambient Occlusion on:

Thank you! Resetting the 3D settings has fixed it.

The problem appeared back and i have sticked to playing without Dynamic Reflections now which looks normal except when i have anything black in the game or go in a area on the map where there are shadows.. Do you have any other fixes i could try? It might just be my GPU being too old aswell, even though it did work before and my 750TI worked aswell which isnt any newer and its worse, so i dont know. If i cant fix it I might just get a new GPU sometime.
