Ghost Cauli's Bolide Collection Because the name Bolide Expansion Pack has been already takenLet's be honest – vanilla Bolide configs are great, but they're pretty straightforward, not to say boring. You either get a comfy prefacelift that's barely faster than a 200BX, a rather quick GTT, or a GTR that's trying to send you to the shadow realm. If you're looking for a Bolide expansion pack that fills these gaps with new variants and parts, this one is for you. About: What started as a simple Civetta Bolide pack turned into a deep dive into the manufacturer's "what if" territory. The idea was to explore different paths Bolide could take – from luxury grand tourers competing with Ferraris and Lamborghinis, through motorsport-oriented variants, to heavily modified street builds. Most parts in this expansion are based on either period-correct modifications or racing homologation specials, with some inspiration taken from Japanese tuning scene of the 90s. Key Features: Custom Configs Each body kit and major engine variant comes with at least one carefully tuned config showcasing what these parts can do. Current lineup includes: Civetta Bolide GTR Stradale bringing luxury GT car experience in the era of F40 and Diablo Bolide 290 Series built around the new 2.9 V8 engine, from street-legal GTC to purpose-built GTE Bolide 350 GT2 bridging the gap between GTT and pre-facelift with focus on natural aspiration Multiple street and track builds with aftermarket body kits and performance parts Engine Options Three new engines complementing the vanilla V8 lineup: 2.9L V8: Compact F40-inspired powerplant, retuned for Bolide's character. Comes with new engine color (Bolide yellow) and unique sound. Perfect for nimble track builds. 3.6L High-Rev V8: A love letter to early race engines pushing 13k RPM. Makes little sense outside racing, but the sound is worth it. 4.2L V8: When too much power is just enough. Handles 1500+ HP with stage 4 turbos, still pulls hard without forced induction. Chrome intake for extra performance. Visual Options Mix of OEM-style and aftermarket parts: GTR Stradale body kit with unique front end and subtle aero elements GTA kit focusing on weight reduction with new, twin-round pop-up headlights GT2 kit, the evolution (or devolution) of the GTT kit, with NA rear quarterpanels and front mount fuel tank Aggressive GTE kit inspired by factory race cars Many custom body kits (including Type 1-3 from 200BX and Pessima) Multiple other options for nosecones, hoods, fenders, skirts, spoilers... Performance Parts Complete performance upgrade path: Stage 4 Variable Boost Quad Turbocharger setup Extra stage 1-3 Performance parts Custom transmission options including: Special 5-speed for 2.9l engine with unique ratios and sound 5-speed auto based on late 90s transmissions (with new OEM-style shifter) Modern 8-speed DCT inspired by current ZF units (with extra paddle shifters) Aftermarket brakes with proper ABS integration Full range of electronic assists, including launch control, ESC, TC. Over 250 parts in total Current Progress: Around 90% of planned content is complete and in QA. Once the remaining features are implemented, the expansion pack will enter closed beta testing. FAQ? Have you ever noticed that the GTT intercooler position makes no sense on the pre-facelift Bolide? Well, I refitted stage 1-3 vanilla turbos, totally not inspired by some horse-brand cars. Should I nerf them, considering this spot is not that great for cooling, compared to the original position? Also, the off-white interior is neat, isn't it?
That type of notched engine cover has needed to exist for too long! So aggressive. Looking forward to some nice Bolide parts.
Nice, any updates to the vanilla BeamNG cars is a good day...looking forward to trying them out when ready
Wow, cloud are finally gone, we can now cleary see the massive ambition of this pack! With this work In addition with Nekkit's bolide pack, the Bolide will have as much configs and variety as she always deserved. if the bolide could speak, i'm pretty sure that she'll thanks you ^^
Heard you like tailgates. What you can't see here is new drift steering and (experimental) dynamic coilovers with working antisquat. Spoiler: How the new coilovers work The DriftGear coilovers use a dual-rate spring system - soft initially for better compliance and traction, but automatically stiffening under heavy compression to control body movement during aggressive driving. This gives you better ride quality and grip during normal driving while still maintaining body control when pushing hard. The adjustable anti-squat geometry lets you tune how the rear end behaves under power by changing the suspension mounting points. This is particularly useful for controlling weight transfer during drifting or hard launches while maintaining consistent handling characteristics. TL;DR: Soft when you want it, firm when you need it, plus adjustable geometry to control how the rear squats under power.
This new suspension setup sounds very promising. if combined with abs/eps feature, the Bolide should handle almost like a modern supercar. ^^ Otherwise, the tailgate is very well-done, this "sporty-classic" style, match perfectly with Bolide desing. is this part meant to be on a stock config? to my mind, I'll see it on an exclusive model in limited edition, or for a "pre-lift: the first gen Bolide 350 that would have been produced during 1or2 years before vanilla 350
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Spoiler I also wanted to add a custom boost controller there, but it will be included in the turbo kits themselves It was actually meant to be an aftermarket tailgate to go along with a custom hood and the Type 1 body kit, like here: Some new parts: Civetta Veloce wheel in two new colors: bronze and black + centerlug variant. Bubble drag rear quarterpanels for the prefacelift body (and rally tailcone):
Really hoping that all of these kits are getting decent UV maps for skins, I've been planning to make a sizeable Bolide-specific skin pack (kinda like a "spec-series" type thing) and these kits could really make for some sweet variations between designs. And (although I likely suspect it is, given your taste for liveries) if that isn't in the plans, then I wouldn't be against doing some UV mapping myself.
I'm keeping the vanilla UV layout (which is fine on its own), but I try to avoid overlapping and other common issues. So yeah, it should be fine for the most part. I'd rather you helped me with liveries
Knowing the vanilla UVs well enough, idk about it being "fine" - but I'll take your word for it And I'd def be down to assist with some liveries, maybe once the new year hits. Just throw me a PM on here or Discord or something.
i got a question the new exhausts will they also be available for NA or are they like the vanilla ones coupled with the turbo ?
Tl;dr: yes. There are three sets, NA, turbo (for vanilla turbo kits), and universal (for my custom intakes). Each set has same exhaust tips (so you can install NA tips on turbo and vice versa) with custom sounds. Slow --- Post updated ---
