Never heard of the live action remakes being “woke” but I don’t like the live action remakes because they end up taking the character out of the animation style of the original.
It's usually not THAT bad, but It's usually there and mildly annoying (Ie. Live-Action Beauty and the Beast's LeFou in one dance scene). In other news, I wanna see this:
Now there’s a unique movie! I don’t know why, but the art style gives off “indie game that ended up as a game award nominee to the surprise of the 6 people who made it as a passion project” vibes to me.
Even worse, the only reason why Marvel is flopping and making those lame movies (except Spider Man 4) is cause of Disney buying Marvel themselves. Like compare by watching Endgame in 2019 and go to the Loki TV Show in 2021, you will notice the difference of how Disney ruined it.
Actually, Disney is against "wokeness", and attributes it to why films like "Lightyear" failed (even though it was actually just a very shitty movie in general).
They probably HAVE to include at least a little bit so Karens don't go knocking down their doors with rainbow colored shotguns.
But they can't include too much, otherwise people like you will start bitching about how the show is ruined because one of the characters has feelings for someone of the same gender as them. --- Post updated --- The thing that I don't think y'all get is the fact that we don't want to ban guns. We just want them to not be able to get into the hands of white supremacists and school shooters. We just want stricter gun laws that wouldn't affect the average gun owner who uses their guns for sport and hunting, but it would restrict access to guns for mentally unstable people who don't value the lives of others.
I personally couldn't care less about yard signs, TBH. I've gotten real tired of seeing "Don't blame me, I voted for Trump" signs.
I will never understand political yard signs or bumper stickers. Like we get it, you drive a Prius and you voted for Trump, now get out of the left lane if you're gonna go 45 mph on a 70.
Not to get meta on this conversation, but I just plum despise the word 'woke'. I hated it back when it was a goal, I hate it now that it's a slur. It might be a nice shorthand for 'promotes social progress', but it's just a low-hanging fruit of a buzzword that lets you sidestep actually discussing what you actually believe. "...It's grammatically incoherent." -Captain Raymond Holt Perhaps I've not had the... pleasure... of encountering many Karens in the wild, but aren't they usually white, upper-middle class GenXers or early Millenials? I'm not up to date on the political leanings of various demographics, but my idea of a Karen is usually center-right, if anything. Also, Karens don't use firearms, their mouths are their primary weapon. Shooting the other person would be far too merciful.
