I decided last year to start taking on my first ever car mod for this game, after a while of research and messing around. Also keep in mind, this is my first car mod, so the jbeam is not perfect. =------------------= "Can you fix _?" - Look through the updates and the known issues first before asking. =------------------=
It sounds amazing and I am looking up to this, but I've got one question. Isn't that technically stealing? Yes the model might not be the best (from Modland), but someone already has done it and nowhere did you mention you asked to do it nor if they approved. Also you didn't even link the original mod (might not be necessary IDK). I might be wrong, so that's why I'm asking
I asked for permission but didnt get a response, if the original creator wants me to take it down then I will.
I hope to see base configs, sedan and wagon body styles, as well as a 22B STI config, too! Good luck!
not to sound rude or anything, but revamping bad modland mods is one of the worst ways to get into modding (also you dont have permission which is no bueno), you basically are taking something that was made by someone that doesnt know much about modding (because its a bad mod) then its probably using a 3d model from another game, which is not optimal to work with, with a poorly edited sunburst jbeam probably. So the foundation, which is what matters, is basically non existant, so youd be better off finding a 3d model with better textures, and making it from 0, since youll get a much better result at the expense of a bit more work
Yeah I know, I just wanted to make something fun for myself and try something new. Also im not trying to make it perfect, and the original model is surprisingly high quality, and the jbeam is pretty well made, other than the front bumper area. Again, if the original creator wants me to remove it then I will.
Working on the jbeam currently, its lookin pretty solid --- Post updated --- First crash with the revamped jbeam --- Post updated --- Doors are now hinged
Nice, but shouldn't the door glass be attached to the door itself? I'm also seeing some backface issues with one of the fenders.
