Cars maxing RPM without throttle

Ok, so I haven't played BeamNG in ages, but I decided to load it up last night and have some fun. My car kept redlining in neutral without input, and I thought it may have been because of the engine. Was annoyed, but still found ways to play with it. This morning, however, I tried to just drive, and my car red lined, took off as soon as I put it in gear, and then wouldn't slow down. I can play with it, but when I want to stay in one spot to change cars or modify, it throws me off a cliff if I don't turn the car off. I can upload a video from last night, and then this morning.
Idk what's going on, maybe I'm just stupid and don't know how cars work, but I'm fairly sure that my car should not be trying to drive itself.

 

Could be many things, my first guess would be that your throttle axis is inverted. check if the car stops accelerating when you fully press the throttle pedal, and if that is the case, go to settings -> Controls, under "vehicle", select your throttle axis and tick/untick the "inverted" box.

 

The throttle isn't inverted, it seems to be working now with other cars, just mass RPM without input at the start

 

It's like all the cars are trying LC, but putting too many RPM's for neutral and first. Out of those, and they seem to drive fine
