Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta really? you cancelled it. i dont know what you are trying to get at here. i dont know if this is payback to the admins for banning you or you just dont want to do it anymore. even if this is payback why are you taking it out on us? the admins wont care if you do this or not.
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta no reason for payback to the admins. i can't release this vehicle. like, i really can't release this until further improvements come with the game. i just decided that i don't want to spend hours upon hours on a vehicle that won't come out properly due to game restrictions.I mean, it feels like they are focusing on little things like ffb and "proper lighting" instead of necessary things like ai path finding or online multi-player. hell there isn't even separate sounds for each vehicle yet. and they're on 0.3.6? im sorry if this is a frustration to you but there is a prime list of things that need to be done in this game before i can release this truck.
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta I wouldn't say that ffb is a "little thing", it adds a lot to the realism of using a wheel which also completely changes how you play with one too.
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta Also, to be fair, ffb was pretty much demanded from the community. You don't see people asking for the other stuff. I'm sure if more people made a (polite) noise about the other stuff the devs would see that and would rebalance the development cycle to favor it.
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta then if the game improves, you will release it? or continue working on it?
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta What game restrictions would prevent you from creating a proper mod? I'm quite curious.
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta So thats two people leaving already because of the slow progress on this game..
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta Absolutely nothing that i can think of, especially considering how many other people have released quality content. And last that I knew, (post 143) The truck was actually completed.
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta almost completed. i still need to texture and uv map the thing. however, this mod can't be released now. The only things i need for this mod to be released are, -better engine sounds (at least seperate sound files for each car on OFFICIAL code), -better crashing sound engine (maybe tailor the crash sound to the movement and compression, decompression of the nodes and beams) think of it as the same way the engine sound is currently generated in game. but instead of assigning it to the throttle response, assign it to beam compression/ decompression, -tailor different impact sounds to specific nodes/ beams using the same idea as above. (so realistic suspension squeaks and rattles can be made. or hydraulic and electric motor noises can be made from hydros movement) -better overall cpu performance (i know they are working hard at this but would it be too much to make multi thread/ core support?), -better gpu performance (on East Coast usa, most areas are lagging bad on my computer while the rest runs at a perfect 60fps {and don't say it's my computer. i'm running a gtx 970 and an i7 4960x and on the other build it's a gtx 760 4gb with amd fx 8350}), -improved controller support. (i still can't navigate the menus with the controller), that's all i wan't. it doesn't have to be exact, but i would prefer to release this truck when we get a better game build. the last thing i want to do is release this truck now, and not have it work in later builds. i'm sorry if i'm being too demanding but it's just i really don't feel like this game is ready yet for this truck.
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta East coast is certainly the laggiest of the maps. Although last experiment build runs so much smoother. Its the map rather than game I think. Its using visual meshes for collisions (laggier, other maps have separate visual and collision meshes, they just haven't yet gotten around to it for east coast yet) and it does have really dense foliage.
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta You do realize that the game is in early alpha and that you have cancelled your mod for the totally legit reason that "the dummy devs haven't made everything I want yet"?
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta beamng DOES use multiple threads/cores each vehicle gets it's OWN core/thread(so the more vehicles spawned, the more threads/cores used), however 1 vehicle can not use multiple threads, it would cause many problems(some of them unfixable, period), so yes, it WOULD be too much to do it in the way you seem to want if you really have an i7-4790K, then you have no reason to complain anyway, because that will have no problems running beamng
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta well as i said previously, i don't have a problem running beamng, it's onl on some parts of east coast usa. also it's a 4960x not 4790k. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116938
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta even better then east coast is in the experimental build, it's going to have problems (and any lag you get at ECU would be on the graphics side of things, not cpu optimisation)
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta Yes one of my favorite vehicles! Racing trucks to dune buggies that's me. - - - Updated - - - Your core costs more than my entire computer.
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta 1,400$ cpu. lel - - - Updated - - - Also does any know why the threads take so long to load for me? I can go through this website just fine but when i try to open a thread..It takes a while
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta i'm not sure. but i'm very glad that i am also not having this problem.
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta well, i am happy, this is still going to happen, maybe not soon but it will happen. i can wait
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta Oh, thats all? Youre gonna be waiting for years at this rate. Why not just have a dev delete this thread, because i dont see your demands being met within any time frame that you are willing to keep "working" on this vehicle.
