edited terrain fall through

I have a pretty annoying/frustrating problem with the map editor

when i go to make a raised platform of land with the drag terrain tool or any tool i just fall through it so basically i cant make any terrain except the default base which does nothing for a map. Is there anyway to fix this?

Also if needed im using the test map with all objects removed

Did you exit the terrain editor (press F11) before driving? If not that is why your vehicle drives through the terrain.
