Tbh for stock Scintillas with 305s rears and considering the 700-800 hp versions, the tire width is just lackluster. Minimum 325, better if 355 rears. Front is lacking a bit too, maybe 265 to 285 would be good. This issue gets so bad like I have said that I have done making tires (with fitting JBeam) just because I grow weary of narrow tires.
Yes but also referring to the Scintilla for specific as Scintilla's rally config is having 670 hp which is way more powerful than most rally cars. The normal configs' tires are rather narrow as well.
Old projects, but are currently planned to be fixed for newer BeamNG (if I know how to properly jbeam though...)
I want to finish the Bolide first. Then, maybe...? Unrelated, but I made a simple app that shows wheel spin by dividing wheel speed by air speed, either as a number or simply a dot. I don't know if it's any useful, but it gives some nice feedback when accelerating hard. Spoiler: How I created it This began as a simple test of Claude 3.5 – unlike ChatGPT, this one at least tries to understand the context in which it operates. GPT-4o is a piece of garbage. Turns out, this is all that it needed to come up with a working app. I later asked it to tweak some things (and tweaked some more on my own), but the core code was working on first try, which was surprising because it didn't just copy from the example apps but wrote seemingly unique one. I started by asking it if it knows BeamNG.drive and how to create UI apps for it, and then moved to this prompt:
I literally listed off every major tire company that makes rally tires, it’s not just one. Also the cars you are talking about are RGT cars (also those series are amateur, they just aren’t World championships). They very rarely do full gravel events, hence why they probably didn’t include a gravel version. Anyway the reason why it’s not a good idea is because the bigger tires let alone the stagger will likely make it drive pretty awkward. One thing that would make sense and look good though is give it a proper rally aero kit like the new alpine. --- Post updated --- Also yes which is why the gravel tires max width in beam is what it is. WRC runs 205s front and rear. Them being narrower actually gives more grip because the tire pushes through the softer dirt more effectively and gets down to the actual harder packed surface that has better grip. Snow tires are even narrower and ice tires narrower still.
As I said, it can pretty drastically change how the car drives, but hey if that’s not a concern then fine.
This is a problem that needs to be considered after half a year.Because this is only an experimental project.
When can we meet her? --- Post updated --- Make "Mythbusters" buster, or DR.doofensmertz --- Post updated --- Their is only 1 reason USA gets a lot of anime... --- Post updated --- Cool, maybe someone could make this info into a gamepad FFB mod!
