Can there be an opiton to limit buyable cars to only vanilla configs and parts?

 

This is just my opinion, but I believe Quarryside Autos should have a different name since they sell such budget cars. Something like EZ 2 Afford Cars or Budget Car Sales. Just an idea.

 

would there be any posibility of having mods enabled by the save file? since i do have a bunch of mods which dont have cargo stuff or i just dont want in carrer mode since pricing isnt done right but id be a bit of a chore to enable and disable them just for playing career

 

I have an idea... What if you could purchase some of the vehicles you deliver? Like after you finish the delivery you can purchase them from the owner? (Probably for an increased price)

 

Suggestion for bonus stars:
Its currently hard to test the bonus star economy due to a glitch that causes 9999 starts to be awarded at for a reason that I don't feel like testing atm, but I think extra stars should be awarded for completing challenge tiers/level ups (i.e. racing, police, delivery, etc.). Additionally, the game as it stands now has already placed an arbitrary value on the stars making them worth $1,000 in BeamBucks. Maybe allow those to purchase other things/services in game.

Sponsorships:
There are a variety of OEM and aftermarket manufacturers present in the game currently. My suggestion would be to have unique branding on certain performance parts and implement a reputation system within the game. The player would be able to increase reputation by completing events, deliveries, or obtaining bonus stars. More affinity towards brands would be acquired by having said parts on the players vehicle while completing events, buying affinity using stars, or by using liveries. This would not have to be limited to vehicle manufactures or aftermarket parts suppliers, but also soft good brands that are present within the game.

Career Mission UI Changes:
I had a friend recently try the career mode in Beam, they enjoy the immersion of the first person camera, but cannot unhide certain UI apps that would assist in knowing the vehicle status, (I.e. current gear, boost pressure, transfer case and diff settings). I don't know if there is a way to change the UI apps, but if there isn't a way it would be a nice addition.

 

the Sponsorship thing would be great, getting a Variety of offers that pay 5-10% the amount of a race/activity

 

I suppose that if you change the starter garage to a Rent-A-Box storage unit in the future, you could move the starter cars to the "we buy lemons" lot down the street?

 

Also, Jerry Rigs is spelled with one “G” on the car jockey board, yet there are two on the actual sign. Literally unplayable

 

I was using career mode and between loading cargo all UI apps turned invisible. I tried reloading using F5 or Ctrl+U or Shift+U or Alt+U and reset in the UI edit menu but none of them work. How am I supposed to get the UI to be visible again?

 

Yes, I finished deliveries off memory (fortunately it was to Quarryside Auto and Belasco Garage). I kept refreshing the UI and restarted it several times and eventually they came back, I don't know what caused it.

Edit: I have been playing for a while today and I have found the UI is acting verry laggy, everything else is ok but the UI apps are probably 2-3 FPS.

Edit 2: UI is now working normal. No idea what the cause was. Though today I opened parts inventory and everything was in a random order, I just wanted to remove the muffler on my tuned diesel cargo D45 to see what it sounded like.

However on the topic of that D45 cargo van I have noticed more odd issues with it. Yesterday I purchased it as the D45 off road Ambulance again the same as last time (ref post #1035) and tried again to remove and reinstall the cab with the cargo box just like last time. Again I was unable to reinstall the cab, so I went into the parts store and purchased a new cab which came with a load of new parts, I tried removing and reinstalling this new cab which worked fine, I then installed the new cab with the old parts and tried again and it was fine. I sold the old cab and the newer parts that came with the new cab and it seems to work as normal except the first time of any session that I get into the vehicle I get a red fatal lua. error but does not further affect anything and I have been able to use it normally.

The only other thing I have done with it is swapped the old engine in to a D45 rollback which was so worn down it would barely idle, unfortunately after trying to reinstall the manual gearbox back in to the rollback it seemed to not work and the whole vehicle (rollback) changed all parts to show as in inventory despite being physically there. I ended up selling this as I could no longer modify it and it now had no gearbox. I had already bought a new engine for the former off road Ambulance so I installed that and upgraded the turbo to a stage 1 which certainly helps with the hills.

 

Just an idea: pressing the horn button while on foot the unicycle-man should yell obscenities. Should be useful when trying to walk across town cuz you lost all your money on repairs.
On a more serious note, sometimes the list of delivery items will get stuck on the screen after they have been delivered.

 

I don't think it would be that hard to mod to be honest, unfortunately I can't code outside of changing simple values (like increasing the maximum inventory) otherwise I would give it a go.

Lol, I can imagine driving an ambulance, hitting a bump, then hearing "Oh, you're approaching me?"

 

Just a few ideas that I don’t think will be that hard to implement into the game:
Better parts inventory:
The current parts inventory in career mode is very confusing and makes it a complete pain searching for a part you want to remove. Maybe if you could search in it like in the parts selector and sort parts by a vehicle you choose would be better.
Parts selector highlights:
I don’t know what happened but when i searched for a part in parts selector, it highlighted the type of part, or the part itself, but since 0.32 it doesn’t, which is a problem when you’re searching for let’s say a certain type of wheel. PLEASE BRING IT BACK! Thanks.
Labeled buildings:
From the bus gameplay (which i would also like in career mode) we can tell which building is which but having for example a Bank sign on the bank building would be more realistic and would really add to the immersion of the gameplay. (It would also be cool to have a supermarket in the shopping centre next to Riverway plaza)
A car parts shop:
I think it would be way more realistic if there was a car parts shop, where you would have to go to buy parts for your car, instead of buying them from your garage. You could also add a DMV where you would have to register your car and pick up your plates.
I would also like to see cops in AI traffic and a node grabber for the unicycle, but these have already been requested.
