Forgot to mention: for some reason the Front Brake Pads and the Twinsteer Brake Pads use the exact same slot, meaning that changing the pads in one side also changes the other.
I was going to talk about the same thing. It's possible that the devs have based the extra axle off what is available in this mod.
for some reason, some lowlife dipshit is tryina sell this mod. https://www.modland.net/beamng.drive-mods/other/t-series-drivetrain-expansion-paid.html just letting you know.
i just came across the mod. wanted to report it to the proper author. but either way its not a bad idea to report it. idk how modland takes these reports seriously. but i linked this thread. so hopefully itll be enough. idk man. oh and patreon is utter dogshit when trying to report. i cant report their profile i gotta report their posts. which i cant seem to be able to report. so thx patreon for making it extremely hard to report someone, bunch of enabling pos.
i reported the mod on modland But modland moderators rarely take these reports seriously (i made more than 10 reports, and none of them were succesful, even that i was reporting reuploaded mods from beamng forum)
Do you really need to use different pad types for each steer axle? Oh most likely. But based on the hidden files they will likely also add twinsteer, lift axles, AWD, etc so I hopefully can just remove all my axle parts as they will have official counterparts. Oh FFS, I already tried reporting him for re-uploading before but nothing happened and now the MF is charging money. Well hopefully the update will come soon and break that version of the mod.
It's not just with the steer axle, but it also happens with the extra axle in the tridrive rears. There's nothing saying he can't just come here and fetch the most recent one to continue his scams
If they add official twinsteer I will likely rework the T60 to work with those new axles though that will probably be a bit after release. Also I'll likely have to redo all the EV stuff.
It absolutely disgusts me that he is reuploading your mod to make a quick buck. Perhaps some people just don't want to put in the effort to make a good mod.
Yeah, we all know making even a simple mod is no simple task (I still have no clue of how to use 80-90% of what JBEAM is capable of), but still.
Slant hoods like that didn’t really start until the mid-late 80s IRL which is close to the end of T-series vanilla model years. Because of that I kinda see it as an 80s/90s option
I just noticed something: the wide front tires protrude from even the wide front fenders. Mind tucking them a bit some inward? It looks somewhat out of place.
That is true but I cannot be bothered to make a whole late-model facelift for the truck. EDIT: and slant hoods did exist in european trucks in the early 70's(Ex: Volvo N12) It's fairly normal for the tires to slightly protrude beyond the fenders IRL.
Hey, any news on what might be coming next? I know you might be planning to halt development until 0.33 comes in, but that'll take forever at this pace. Also, we have talked about pairing the T70 front with the Tandem Fifthwheel rear and how inconvenient it was to use it without excessive front ballast. I have however managed to build a stable combo with both frame halves. I have to use Airbag Tandem because of how the current Leaf Spring Tandem works, though. So here's an idea of mine: make a Twin Leaf Spring system for the rear frame tandems. Instead of having one leaf spring for both axles, it'd have a leaf spring for each axle, theoretically giving the aforementioned T70+TwinFifthwheel combo the best of both worlds: the cheapnesss and simplicity of leaf springs with the stability of airbags. Connecting the rear axles with one another might be a bit of a hassle in such a setup, but I'm sure it can be done. --- Post updated --- Forgot to ask: if the T-Series' automatic gearboxes have no P gear, why is there a P position on the automatic shifter? I just realized this and it's starting to bother me a bit. Nevermind, there IS no P position on that shifter. Apparently an experimental mod of mine is somehow messing with the shifter, so instead of [R,N,D,1] it moves like [P,R,N,D].
I have recently been working on a little convenience: airless semi brakes. I have cloned the ones found naturally, renamed them to not cause conflicts and reverted their braking system to that used back on 0.30, both for the T-Series and its related addons. Each brake pair also comes with free ABS, albeit in a janky way (IDK if it even does its job). The whole thing means it's possible to remove the pneumatic system for very low budget builds. It's not very realistic (what with the fact that there's disc brakes for the front axles), but then again, realism has neevr been my thing. It has become a bit of a thought experiment, but I'll put the files here if you want to take a look. (We haven't heard from you in a while, by the way. Are you okay?)
