Customizable/Configurable ETK Hybrid

Hey guys, I have an idea to add more realism to my (FREE) ETK Hybrid mod. So, I plan to launch a post on Patreon where you can choose the configuration of YOUR car (similar to a real-life dealership). There will be a huge variety of interior colors, unique paint designs (you can create your own design), and configurations for engines, batteries, suspension, and transmission. At the moment, there are several ready-made cars that you can pick up from the showroom. Also, regarding the versions of the car, the more advanced version you choose, the longer you will have to wait (just like in real life), but you can create a fully personalized configuration. The mod file will be sent EXCLUSIVELY to you, so all configurations will be unique. What do you think about this idea? Do you like it or not? Which hybrid would you choose: a 2-liter four-cylinder or a V8?

19+ Interior Colors (and ability to pick your own color)

This seems great. Would you have to make every configuration youself or is it automated in some way?

 

that's an interesting question I will do it with my small team) There also will be some prespeced configs that you will be able to download yourself, but they will not include new interior colors and it will not be the top end version. For example: there are 2 engines 2L I4 Hybrid and 4.4L v8 Hybrid, each have different parts, the same goes to electric motors, 2 battery packs 8kWh and 12kWh. suspensions and etc. So you will be able to download some entry level configs, while for better one you should wait (like IRL). If have anymore questions feel free to ask

 

Will the more complex requests be free or we will need to pay?

 

Do you mean custom skins or custom configurations?

 

Just an idea I have is to create an addon-mod for the various options, skin’s, colourways, maybe different steering wheels, rim colours etc. and name them according to the person that “invented” the spec. For example ‘Ilariop’s cinnamon seats” + a full config with the buyer’s name.

Generally mod itself is free, and some additional skins are free, but custom skins (you bring your own ideas to life) are paid, and depends on complexity. If you for example just want to add a couple stickers - it will cost you a couple bread crumbs. But if you want something super complex with a lot of decals, it will take a lot of time to make, thus it will cost a couple greens. We will discuss what you want, i will send you sketch of skin, then after its ready - file with your car. If there (hypothetical) will be ordered a lot of configs, first i will make the simplest, then go to more complex. Btw first skin order will be free.

About configs: as for now this hybrid mod does not have gauges or ui app to show charge level, it does not have unique fenders or hood, so i do not evaluate it as paid mod. If one day it will feel like paid mod - maybe i will add some paid content but there will always be free version to try features of mod

You know making out own skin is a thing called " in-game decal" ?

Of course, there is a built-in tool, but you can only do some basic lines and shapes, and there is no mirror modifier. Maybe there was a misunderstanding. What I'm talking about is a skin, not decals. But if you, lets say, order a simple skin that consists of simple decals and stickers - its your choice
