While there have been a few bike mods out there, I've been attempting to make a motorcycle base jbeam using a different system, this is probably the eighth time that I've attempted to do so and this is the most fruitful result thus far. The way that it works is fairly simple, I reused the walk mode stabilization system (with altered forces) and mounted it to a very dumbed-down chassis with even dumber suspension. I think it's fairly obvious that this is more or less of a rough draft in order to provide better results, I didn't want to drown myself with making an accurate jbeam for a bike that I didn't know was going to work to begin with, I will go back and properly jbeam it once the system is finalized. This probably isn't the most realistic approach to making a motorcycle considering that it auto-stabilizes itself, but the idea is more around functionality than realism. As it stands there is no functional engine/powertrain, I'm struggling with having it auto-stabilize and have the engine work at the same time, I've tried combining the vehicleController and playerController lua to no avail, for the moment it uses forward facing thrusters to move and backwards ones to brake. I'm no lua expert so it'll be more or less me throwing in more code until I can get it to work lol Credits: The model is by PSergio, source is: https://3dsky.org/3dmodels/show/yamaha_fz8n_2011 BeamNG for walk mode "unicycle" stabilization jbeam todo engine, drivetrain tilt control make it not bad
Neat. im looking forward to this. one of the first sporty motorbikes of this type in BeamNG would be amazing. Will this be free? just asking in case.
Bikes would be interesting for the career mod for an economic drive to a mission or job like we do with a scooter.
Now low speed tilt controls work via thrusters: Now I need to add some higher powered ones for tilting at speed. Once it reaches over a certain speed it should be able to enable more aggressive tilt-in for sharper high speed turns.
if this gets finished thisll be awesome! best part is youre even making new code so itll probably function a lot better then all the other crap *coughcough american chopper*
How are you on the forums. If you were 12 in 2021, you should be 14 now https://media.discordapp.net/attach...b2d5e5d750163d&=&format=webp&quality=lossless OT: inb4 motocompo
It would be could to have a folding electric scooter that you can put in your car. Of course that would be a Hirochi scooter (reference to Yamaha), with some Hirochi city cars like a micro car or a minivan (reference to Honda), and those vehicles would have a slot to store the scooter in the vehicle in the trunk.
Ah, the good old, "throw crap at the wall and see what sticks" technique, could'nt have done it better myself... Here's hoping all the Lua flinging is worth it! (this is a joke/compliment, not an insult)
Tilt control needs a lot more refinement and I still haven't gotten the powertrain completely functional, but here are visuals:
