How to get 99.9? Just coast with the engine off going down a hill, if the hill’s long enough you should get 99.9.

Hello everyone! I went to Beamng Drive today and found out that I don't have a folder with Soliad Wendover located at C:\Games\BeamNG.drive v0.27.0.0.14639\content\vehicles. I decided to check the integrity and he gave me this

Two problems I noticed with the pace car variant. 1. the lightbar turns the interior orange in broad daylight (police lightbar doesn't do this) 2. it uses the wrong radiator by default and will burn out its cylinder walls very quickly if driven hard.

I've been trying different cars in that Most Wanted modded scenario and I'm actually shocked by how tough this car is. I've noticed that customized variants, with flusher fitment, can take alignment damage trying to brush around the side of a roadblock if a sawhorse gets jammed between it and one of the cop cars, and Unpunctual/Croco like to dig the oil pan into the ground if you catch air, but otherwise, this thing's strength is considerable. Base model can take a Bastion head on (assuming fairly low speed) and still have a functional radiator afterwards, still track straight after getting aggressively sideswiped by one and scraping it off on a brick wall, etc. Way tankier than it looks.

    upload_2023-7-29_15-45-39.png

Damage on near corner is from casually shoving a Bastion out of the way at a roadblock. (Far corner, I don't remember)

V8 standard also eats a fairly harsh nose-first landing with all glass intact and no apparent damage to the chassis.

The one weak point that I've found so far (other than the aforementioned oil pan on lifted/laden variants and side vulnerability if the wheels aren't tucked under) is that the V6 engines in particular are very vulnerable to cylinder-wall overheating; if the radiator does get damaged then you have a fairly limited amount of time before the cylinders burn out and the piston rings let go. (If using an insufficient radiator, this can also happen well before the coolant itself starts to overheat.)

I know this won’t contribute to this discussion, but I’ve never understood why all Wendover trims have digital gauges and the screen. Realistically, base models should have normal gauges and a standard center stack whilst the premium and performance trims should have digital equipment. I know the whole selling point of the Wendover is its digital stuff, but I still think normal gauges and a normal center stack would be a good addition.

The Wendover was an expensive luxury vehicle and, since the 80s was the era of radical digital technology applied to everything, even the cheapest of the cheap vehicles, it was only natural that it would get digital gauges across the model range. Also, don't forget that the USP of this car was the center touch screen and it wouldn't make any sense without the digital gauges to complement it. And if that meant that, in order to offer a base version, they had to cut costs on exterior (steel wheels with hubcaps) and interior trim (basic grey vinyl interior with no leather or wood) and engine/transmission content (3.3 V6 with a 3-Speed Automatic, without a Locking Torque Converter or an LSD), then so be it.

What bothers me is that the car is wide enough to have a front bench seat in its column shifter-equipped versions and yet it doesn't. Same thing with the Moonhawk and the LeGran too. The area between the front seats is wide enough to be leaving a lot to be desired when the center console option isn't there.

Okay, scratch the whole base model idea. After all, people looking for a cheap car wouldn't buy a Soliad. But what about the traditional (primarily older) buyers who still want the comfort and fine appointments of the Wendover but don't want the fancy and complicated touch screen?

Also, I totally agree with you on the front seats.

Apparently, Soliad was a fashion victim of its time, succumbing to crazy digital gadgets enforced by marketing whims of people who were thinking that those who can afford such a vehicle were also able to fiddle with the touch screen technology and the various menus and submenus of it.
Also, I agree, people looking for a cheap car wouldn't buy a Soliad. After all, the "Regulier" versions of the Bruckell LeGran are made to serve this exact cause and, IRL, the cars by which the Wendover was inspired usually didn't offer many extras because the list of standard features was already long enough. But, as the German manufacturers have shown us over the years, there is a big market for basic, poverty-spec versions with the least powerful engine, steel wheels, black bumpers, no added technology and no interior luxuries. So I guess the "3300" version of the Wendover is somewhat like those versions, catering to those who want something fancy but don't have enough money. Which still seems a bit weird, given the fact that the Wendover is an old man's car (old man therefore wealthy enough to not buy such a version) while the poverty-spec German cars are usually bought by young, uninitiated badge-snobs who just want to impress their equally uninitiated peers and girlfriends.

Fog lights on the Facelift Front Bumper are misplaced when the Front Lip is equipped:

The devs seem to be avoiding it for some reason, even though splitting D/OD would make automatics way better to drive quickly.

I seem to recall a mod that added a whole bunch of realistic automatic transmissions with some having a winter gear (second gear only). There are more ways of laying out an auto than the currently offered PRND, PRNDL, PRND21, and PRNDSM. Seeing more variations would be cool.

Yep, and the new Gavril Dynamo mod has a "Traction Gear" in its 3-Speed Automatic and that's a mode which enables the gearbox to select 2nd gear for getting up from a standstill. Seeing the old automatics actually starting up in 2nd gear would be very interesting. I mean, the modern 8-Speed Torque Converter has this ability, in its Manual mode.
