AI MAP GENERATION

    Using ai to create maps generate maps based on a section of land

    Eg i love the roads around mini village loop on italy so being able to select an area of land and create a map based on that/ bigger map (this part probably on the devs side)
    This could be made into a tool given to players maybe an online ai map generator or somthing?

    this could be tested on beamng as a downloadable pool of maps to start with. Even with limited detail and limited range of objects, I think this could be really cool

    Also I think a map of any side, just in a city but with good detail and lots of allyways ect would be really cool

    Hopfully some use can be taken from this

    Thats just called procedural generation, it's what like a million different games do.

    Try to make it yourself, just saying the most vague idea ever and posting 'Hopfully some use can be taken from this' is about as useless as writing your idea on a post-it note and chucking it into the nearest river. Nothing can be taken from this because it's just a surface level idea. You post no strategy to implement it, no code basis, no demo or not even any real concept aside from 'downloadable pool of maps' which basically just means making the mod downloadable (which is the point of most mods posted here).

    There are also numerous reasons why this has been tried once and never again in the game engine, mostly due to the processing requirements to not only load and unload new objects nearly constantly on the map, but to run the programming needed to generate these maps from scratch with no user input. These sort of maps would lack details present since the age of the PS2 and would likely look akin to a map from Gran Turismo 3, lacking any proper vegetation/props/design and overall make traversing the map feel like a fever dream nightmare more than a BeamNG mod.
