Update 1.2 [GEN3] Okay, I have slightly corrected the map and added night lighting on the new island (you may have FPS drawdowns). - So if you have severe lags at night, open F11 - open the auto_light folder - click on the eye icon near the light bulbs with the note "Port"
If you have any suggestions for adding lighting, please let me know. You can even attach screenshots to help me understand your ideas. Keep in mind that the frame rate may decrease if we add more lighting, but I will try to optimize this as much as possible. As a last resort, we can turn on this function using the F11 key. There are plans to lighten up all the gas stations. I'm not sure exactly what needs to be done on this map, but I definitely want to redecorate the sky and the clouds. P.S. - I would be grateful if someone could find a guide on how to use portals in the game. I know that it can be done through LUA, but there isn't much information about it in the in-game editor's manual. I couldn't find any information on this topic either. With the help of portals, we could create photo studios with beautiful lighting, like in a standard garage.
I was referring to a mod for a car with such an engine) --- Post updated --- What should I do if I don't have a car lift and a dinostend (power stand)?
I bought this from DrowsySam. Here's his patron where I bought it - https://www.patreon.com/DrowsySam
I tried for 4 hours yesterday with no luck. I read through everything. tired different things. no luck lol
How do I install the map? All the photos are arranged in order, I hope no one gets confused. And so click the "play" button on steam, after which you will see a white window - then click "Manage user folder" and then "Open in Explorer". you have a manager open, if you do not have a "levels" folder, then create it, and then open the archive. In order to unpack the card, you need the WinRAR program. It's free and you can download it by clicking on the "WinRAR" word. P.S. - Also pay attention to the last screenshot and how the path to the halyards looks like for me. Photos for help
These people keep saying they've tried and tried but considering I've had it work every single time without fail tells me they are not reading the install instructions what so ever.
I decided to share my thoughts I've been trying to work with clouds and the sun on the map, and I think I did pretty well, but now I'm getting 50-60 FPS. If you want, you can download it and take pictures. I will work on the optimization. ---Photo---
Well, I passed all the exams and now I have a little more free time, I want to make lighting in some parts of the map
Hi Scout, can I ask how to use the blue car lifts and the orange car platforms in the West Coast garage? /i dont know how its called/ (photo:GEN 1 for the car lifts) and sorry for bad english --- Post updated --- where is this garage?
Experimental update I tried playing with light sources and I can say this: I don't see the point in lighting up the whole map or the highway because BeamNG is not optimized for a large amount of lighting. Right now, at night, I have 70 FPS. It might make sense to light up some small locations and take screenshots there, but definitely not the whole map. - Currently, I have lit up the entire race track, as well as a small section of the highway and another gas station.
i remember a few updates back i played around with making lod street lights on west coast and got them to work decently but there was a lot of pop in and the map itself got outdated after a bit, i could try and see if i still have the files from that and send it to you if youre interested.
