SOLVED: I overclocked it again, this time to 4.4GHz and everything is working properly now. No major FPS difference but PerformanceTest shows that everything is higher. So I have an i7 2600K @3.40GHz and I overclocked it to 4.5GHz. In the end I don't see any difference whatsoever, BeamNG runs exactly the same, MAYBE 1-2 fps more. I used PerformanceTest before and after the OC, and it says that CPU Physics Frames Per Second got lower score aswell as CPU Prime numbers. I'm using Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO as a CPU cooler and temps are about 37-50 Celsius. I don't know that much about computers, but is it worth keeping the OC? So far I see no difference but overclocking does shorten the life of CPU. Here's 2 photos showing the difference: Stock Overclocked Thanks!
Re: Overclocking CPU? What sort of FPS do you get? If overclocking doesn't improve performance you might be bottlenecked by your GPU.
Re: Overclocking CPU? That could be true also, I don't know 100% how to overclock correctly. I get around 48-56fps on BeamNG, and 1-2fps when crashing something like the B-25 really hard to the ground. Gameplay itself is fine, I thought overclocking could improve ingame crashes, they get huge lag spikes. I have GTX 970 GPU currently. EDIT: Solved, see the first post /thread
