The Zombie 2018 cover is worse in my opinion, it lacks the charm the original had.
This one is far too smooth and vocal for it to have the same vibe, in the beginning at least.

 

I didn't say it was much better, I mostly liked the vibe more. It seemed to fit it better.

Anyway, we can both agree that Weird Al's stuff is better than the original.
