Im not a dev or anything like that, but i´m a big Fan of BeamNG and its modding community. But I always was confused about the way, mods can break the game. Wouldn´t it be better to run the Mods inside a "Sandbox" so that they cant mess with any game asset, thats not part of the mod? It could fix many problems, like the blue tinted windows. It also could make old mods work again, if the game had a "legacy mode" for mods, where they get old game files in their "sandbox". Many mods and Modpacks had to die because the game got Updated and the dev didnt have the time to Update the Mod, like the WBIMP pack. man, i really miss this Mod. What are your thoughts? Would something like this be possible? Maybe as a Feature of the Game, maybe as a Mod?
I dont think its possible because many of these mods use the game assets that get updated. "legacy mode" would work though.
Yea, that's what I thought. We could make like... A "Legacy Mode" button, you can activate for a specific mod, that's broken by an Update. And then the game downloads the required files.
