Well then what's there to optimize. Your specs aren't good enough. Your processor was released almost 7 years ago.

Not sure if your on a tight budget but if I were in your situation the minimum I would be looking at is a good i5 processor,
a GTX 500/600 series card w/ 3GB ram, 8 GB system ram. Beam needs a beefy processor, no way around it.

actually the cpu should still be fine for at LEAST 2 vehicles (excluding the t75, and possibly h45 box van)

your gpu is what's limiting you

that thing is absolutely horrible (at this point in time it's more of an HTPC card IF anything)

The CPU is not good enough by far. Setting the affinity of BeamNG on my 2600k (higher clockspeeds and better singlethreaded performance) to any combination of two cores (trying to avoid hyperthreading here, tried 5 or 6 different arrangements) all resulted in the game's framerate on DRI with one D15 jumping back and forth between 18 and 60 like it had late stage Parkinson's. Plus, if changing the video settings has little impact on framerate, then you're CPU bound as it means your GPU was coping just fine with the higher settings.

OP, alt+tab out of the game and look at Task Manager's performance tab while the game runs in the background and check your CPU usage.

Pause the game and see what FPS you are getting then. If it still is low, then it's the GPU thats the bottleneck. If it doesnt lag, then its the CPU thats the bottleneck.

Its fine for at LEAST 2 pickup trucks, the op just needs a new gpu (I actually have this cpu on an older pc, before the hdd died it had no problem with 1-2 pickup trucks (probably about medium in the cpu intensive area)

DRI isnt a fair comparison at all, pure grid would be far more fair of a comparison, or better yet banana bench as that doesnt rely on gpu at all

The CPU isn't horrible. The architecture of it makes it a strong dual core. It has 6 MB of L2 cache and it's base clock is 3 Ghz. It could handle a better GPU but nothing crazy. The new GPU would boost your framerate considerably.
