Update 0.38 - Added 640 CUI 'Twin-Six'. A large gas-powered V-12 engine. I built from the 423 V8 with 4 extra cylinders added. It is loosely based on the GM 702 V-12. - Roadranger: Reworked code for range switch behavior. The range box will now only switch when out of gear. This allows you to 'Pre-select' the range switch and then have it change mid-shift similar to the IRL Eaton box. - EV: Repainted Tach for EVs, Added generator toggle binding, Added Reverse speed limiter. It's appearing fine on my end. There must be either something wrong with your install of Bella's mod or a texture conflict with a different mod. Also for those of you missing the Auto-Shift. Someone else coded an actual proper auto-manual transmission: https://www.beamng.com/resources/automated-manual-transmission-more.30117/
I did some reasarch (googling) and most of the conventional twinsteer trucks had a single fender covering both wheels, see attached image
Not happening as: 1. It's not worth me cutting up the existing fenders just to add a single one across 2. This expansion is not meant to make the T-series into a ground-up offroad truck like IYB's B-series or the IRL Kenworth C-500. This is a conversion of a highway truck into a medium duty vocational role similar to the trucks below.
Ah, however I just realized: how would the driver get into the cab with the twinsteer fenders? Steps, please.
We should be able to put the wide steel wheels on the back. Only Wide Aluminum kind of breaks consistency when using colored rims.
https://www.edisonmotors.ca/lseries The wide rims on the rear are wider than the wide fronts(445mm vs 385mm). The wide rears are sized after the Super single wheels which are a lighter and more efficient wheel setup for highway/on-road applications. Because of this AFAIK there are only highway tires and aluminum rims made in that size. The wide steers on the other hand are there to increase load capacity and off-road floatation. Because of this there definitely are steel rims and off-road tires made in that size.
C500s can also be found in (slightly) less extreme tractor configurations that kind of overlap with t800s and w9s. I think this kind of hood and bullbar would be cool, I know the TL80 cab already has removable side panels kind of like this. A headache rack would be nice too.
Update 0.38.2 - Removed Bella's Cabover parts as a required mod. For now this means that the offroad tires won't be on the added axles though the next update of bella's mod will have the compatibility files and it should work like it did before. - Added a ZF-based 16-speed transmission to the Segra Ultimat
I've been loving the 16 speed, keep up the good work! Do you think you could add a Scania 12+2 speed and/or a Scania 12 speed? Also, do you think its possible to make it so the splitter on the roadranger only activates when the throttle is released?
If I initially wanted to do a 12+2 scania box but could not for the life of me find the actual gear ratios for said box. As for Splitter reacting to throttle. Maybe. I'm sure it's possible to add some sort of throttle detection. the issue is getting it consistent to use.
I've just noticed that the splitter now works while in low range on the 13 speed. No clue how long its been like that, but it probably has something to do with your recent implementation of pre-selecting.
I'm assuming you're using the splitter hold binding, If so that binding sort of broke when I changed around a bunch of stuff to add the pre-select. for now lock-out is disabled on it though once it's fixed that will be updated.
The latest update of this mod completely crashes my game after a while of switching parts on the T-Series. Anyone got the same issue?
Is it possible to increase how much power the generator makes? I would like to do some "experiments" but the generator does not supply enough power for 2 370kw at full power
It's possible by changing the electrical efficiency value of the E-generator "motor" but I won't be upping the output for the mod. The generator output is already a little unrealistically high as the engine only puts out ~260kw at most.
