Update Speculation thread

Back to speculation, I'm pretty sure this is Small Island USA with comically large boulders

 

Yeah, that is the second thing I thought of, but why boulders? Some graphical changes or world editor changes?

 

it reminds me a bit of vulkan glitches, but never saw boulders like that tho

 

i would guess they are updating the map and someone put wrong scaling on those boulders

Oh my god more slop… 2015player use the damn discord they talk like you over there you’ll be fine. Just keep in mind forums are for more serious discussion about the game, people do not want to be sent death threats and insults here!

 

Today has made me wonder if making teasers usually on Tuesdays is a detriment. When a Tuesday comes without one the kids go nuts. Just post them on random days whenever they're ready, might save us all some trouble

if I checked correctly last time Small Island was updated back in 0.24 with the addition of PBR.

bug solved

 

Bug or not, this would look great as a sightseeing/photograph-taking spot in a supposed Highlands map!

(My mind is like a breeze over the islands and the seas! )

 

Seems like the boulders covers/bugs out the sky so could be sky changes

I was about to say it looks like small island is getting some attention. There was also a leak of ‘Big Island’ a while back on the tech website.. Could also be drivable rocks tough which I’m placing my bets on.

 

Would fit in with that part from 0.27 changelog "in no small part due to gameplay requirements we won’t spoil for you yet." when they added new rocks, but I think it's either a Small Island update or the rocks are blocking out the skybox. Possibly volumetric clouds, but that's one hell of a stretch.

What are "drivable" rocks exactly? It's the first time I read about this term.
