hmmm i remember the 200bx got some J-beam updates to think of it.

And we often get a remaster ( T-series last ) then a ALL new car.!

SO i think this is a all new car?

I hope for skyline or a big lazy USA luxury 1990s boat,

If skyline type car. I hope we get a 4 door sedan. As coupes dry up on used market. the 4 doors maybe be the cheaper ( and cooler imo ) option

 

if the new car / 200bx remaster is skyline inspired, im hoping for a stagea / wagon config

 

I hope we see something like Crown Victoria last gen or 2000 Mustang. we have already modern sport Japan Car and we have Etk K as European modern sport car. Only modern US sport car is missing.

 

Well it looks pretty different front 200bx, even accounting for proportions improvements and possible notchback variant.
The most noticeable thing is the lenght of the front. Looks like 4inches/10 cm disparity. As though there was a place for a longer longitudinally mounted engine e.g. I6 engine. RB26 GTR Skyline unit springs to mind.

 

There's also the headlights Closer to an Mk1 Pessima than a 200bx

The form of the featured car is probably connected to the ETK I-Series 2400, the back is longer than the 200BX

Grand Marshall and Pessima were already remastered 2 years ago, probably a 200BX or ETR 2400.
It can also be a brand new car

 

Grand Marshall is a commuter/fleet car not a sport car.

 

Oh , so not a crown Victoria then , you're talking about a Mercury marauder

 

Since we mostly agree that the car is the 200bx we can assume of the car body:

- Fixed front lights (s13 coupe, s14 style) since it's what we see on the teaser image.
- Pop ups since it's what we already have ingame.
- ONLY 2 door version, since s13 and similar sports compact cars don't have 4d version.
- It may be a inspired by other cars than the s-chassis, maybe with different facelift we still haven't seen.
- Coupe style roof (or notchback) since it's what we see on the teaser.
- Fastback style roof (or hatchback) since it's what we already have ingame.

General speculation:

- Different rear end and/or roof, to be closer to the real s13? Currently has those pillars the real car doesn't have (I mean it has but it's covered by glass all around).
- More s13-ish tail lights and bumper as a different trim version?
- Nomi or similar, already tuned version kinda like z-tune r34 or Type-R Hondas?
- Multiple i4 engines, to mimic the CA and SR we have irl?
- Another crazy/different type of engine like an i6 or v6? highly doubt it though.
- A new style of widebody kit and aero?
- Drift kit front subframe, like a whole fab style subframe of suspension to mimic the real life sport, since it's a s13, which car main sport is drifting nowadays?
- Kanjo or something Touge racer?
- Bosozoku? Highly doubt it.

 

I'm kinda sick of Nissan Skyline style cars since theirs so many mods for it, so I hope it this or something not Japanese...

ibishu 200bx it may be its time for a remake it seems like it its been an car since 2015 and i might become is car!

correct but i think the 200bx needs it most its alot more outdated have you looked at the pre-remaster legran? it looks so much worse now! it looked good before its remake but now the pre-remake legran looks bad well atleast the interior does

Maybe he helped, but did not become part of the official dev team.

He used to have the staff banner under his profile pic for an amount of time as his main job was to help fill out the documentation for the game, but once that got done on his part that he was tasked with, he became a regular user again

 

I wouldn't be so surprised at this tbh... While the S12 was the only S platform to get a 6 cylinder, plenty of Japanese sports cars at the time did get one.

And if this is more of a Grand Tourer (The Lexus SC and the Supra did share a lot of mechanics, so a grand tourer to accompany the 240BX remaster isn't out of the question) then we could even see a factory V8. And if we don't see any big factory engines, remasters often include a superbuild and a V8 swapped drift car is the obvious choice there
