really depends. The MTX part is an ignorable feature in the autoshow, for five bucks you can get four autoshow cars for free. Completely unnecessary, but as I said, ignorable. Not a dealbreaker imo. The game is fine, but be prepared to cope with absolutely horrid dialogue. The 'progression', as in, essentially the introduction, is actually fine, it's similar to FH4's lego DLC progression. Definitly a step up over 4. Comparing to that, I think the map feels emptier than FH4, but then again, I'm the only weirdo that liked FH4 (and it's map). You still get thrown cars and money at, except the ones you want which are obviously long gone fomo content that has not reappeared since week one *cough* delorean *cough* All in all, during the 30$ steam sale I wouldve said go for it, but that ran out, and I would not recommend paying full price, except if you're really sure. You could also get one month of game pass and try it, I guess.
can’t speak 100% for 5, but I have 4 which I think is fairly similar for the most part (also has microtransactions, in the form of DLC cars that cannot be obtained unless you pay extra IRL cash, so I just ignore those lol) overall I find the series okay, a good time waster if you have nothing else to do and get it on sale, and the weekly online events can be quite enjoyable, bear in mind they can take a lot of your free time my personal opinion is that I would say the likes of Gran Turismo 7 is more deserving of your time. graphics and physics are on another level, obviously it lacks the open world aspect but generally I find myself having more fun driving vehicles in GT7, which is why I still play it on and off from release to this day, whereas FH4 I haven't touched in about a year or more lol, and I don't think ill be getting 5 anytime soon
In my opinion not, unlike fh4 new forza feels more like a roblox game than a 50$ game, most of the map is just desert. only 30% is jungle/city. in fh4 we had different terrains and it was cool. also the roads in fh5 are so wide that you can just drive in the middle and you wont hit any ai car. In your position I would consider buying fh4 more, it has cool vibe imo.
I think its a good purchase if you really want to get it, and have the money. i have played for about 150-200 hours, and ive kind of stopped playing it recently. They are also pushing out new DLC's what feels like every update, and I dont think that they are all worth buying. Then again, I am unable to play online (for reasons I am not sure of). It kind of gets boring after you complete the story, and the only thing that makes me open the game is either friends or a car in the season i would like to get. Definitley more fun in the begining, but if you have the money I would recommend getting it.
And those new DLC's are full of OP cars, and the cars you get for free in the updates, are usually average at best.
