?!Unfortunately?! I did something else in my spare time and not nord-attacking. With my friends we made this UI App for more focused time attacking, or racing! Give it a try! thread: https://www.beamng.com/threads/refreshed-simpletacho-for-racers.96322/ Demonstration video:
That's quite close to Zocker1990's WR clean lap of 3:14.950 using the SRT Tomahawk X VGT in GT Sport, the car which is pretty much the same car class as your concept, that is the physics-breaking concept car. His lap was the fastest I've ever seen around Nordschleife, real AND virtual, so I consider it the fastest clean lap of the Nordschleife of all time EVER, virtual lap times and unrealistic car runs included. Since your run was pretty close to his, I wanted to see if it was legit, so to verify for contention, I was just wondering if you remember whether your lap was clean or not? (In Zocker's definition he was following GTPlanet & GTRP's rules of a clean lap for time trials, which is as follows: "There must be at least 2 tires on or over the track (in case of a jump with all 4 tires in the air) all the time (curbs = track). Shortcutting (more than 2 two tires off-track), wallriding etc. are not allowed.")
Wollank (the engineer behind the car and the driver for the Nür lap) streamed it live to me via discord. I can confirm he neatly conformed to 2-on 2-off track limits as far as you can tell from the cockpit view. We both know we can do better and are already working on a faster, more stable successor.
Since there are no videos available of the CX2R around the ring, I decided to try and record a sector 1 myself. 38 physics crashes later, here are the first 10 or so corners.
HOLY S H I T That looks like it has the potential to be even faster than the Tomahawk --- Post updated --- bro you weren't even remotely following the racing line lmao
Just did a huge improvement, because I watched the replay of the leader of FR17 stock. I couldn't reach that time, but I'm more than happy with 2nd place for now. Because I've freaked up in the youtube corner, etc... You can check in this video my own version of the simpletacho mod if you're interested. ((((Grey: below dowshift point, yellow: close to downshift point (5% higher rpm before downs. because you could shift down for mid speed corners even in low power cars with short gear-ratios), deep green for ideal rpm, light green 5% below upshift point, red above upshift point.)))) FR17 mod, stock config, 04:57.219 MUTE THE VIDEO!!! (I watched a hungarian stream in the background, to entertain myself. yeah, im crazy LOL)
That thing is absolutely insane Has the same energy as the sped up pigeon video I made once except it's real:
AbdullahBernath27... How could you handle these cars... Scintilla GTs Corse?! Not even the race spec? Oh wait, that one is wilder than that... (tried it...) Okay, let's see the next vanilla stock config laptime, which is not SBR4 HC (maybe next time). K-Series GT4?!?!?! OOOOOO Guys, what a car, what a stock setup. I LOVED IT! Try it please! It has the grip, the GT4 aero, and weight... Amazing balance, really. 07:10.078 Civeta Scintilla Gts Corse, vanilla stock: 07:08.155 ETK K-Series GT-IV, vanilla stock:
I use the Time Trials button from the menu, but if that doesn't work you can spawn in and find the challenge marker (I believe it's next to the default spawn). Also decided to try out our newest mod; hit dirt and almost fishtailed a few times but I'm happy with the runs: Hirochi CCF2 190-4R - 09:06.640 It was pretty hard to master but I love this car, it feels so "raw" and exciting compared to other modern ones in-game. Also had frequent brake fade and shift indicator bugs for whatever reason (also enjoy my PC's screams for help recording a new car with the graphics turned up) Hirochi CCF2 280-6RS - 08:13.326 The higher trims are way more refined - and fast. It was a welcome surprise, but I also switched the tires for sport ones (unlike the other trims, it comes with standard tires).
Found some of the cars I have driven IRL on some other mod sites and decided to lap them around the Nürburgring(I'm not sure if these entries should even go to the spreadsheet): The car I practiced for my driving test: a VAZ 21061 1.3 with mismatched trim after a respray (M) Mod - Custom config - Default tune Time: 12:13.032 Spoiler: About Our VAZ 21061 This particular Lada had been left sitting just when I was in driving school, so I used it to mainly practice parallel parking. And no, I'm not that old, I just grew up in a poor family. The IRL photo was taken in 2010. The mod seems pretty good, capturing the look and feel well enough for me. All the doors, hood and trunk are openable aswell. The 3rd car I owned: Audi 80 1.6 (B3) (M) Mod - Custom config - Default tune Time: 11:25.232 Spoiler: About My Audi 80 Least enjoyable car I ever owned, being the absolute base model with a carbureted 1.6 petrol engine and no equipment. Only bought it because I needed a cheap street legal car very quickly. I did enjoy the looks though. The mod felt quite nice aswell, although the model seems off, specially the front. All the doors, hood and trunk are openable aswell. The 7th car I owned: BMW 523i (e39)(A) Mod - Custom config - Default tune Time: 9:32.270 Spoiler: About My BMW 523i One of the longest lasting cars I ever had, despite not maintaining it properly due to excessive rust and an automatic transmission. It was also the quitest e39 I have ever been in(out of about 15 e39s). Strangely I bought it also because I needed a street legal car quickly, but this time I wanted an e39 and this one was one of the cheapest available. The mod was not as nice this time, the model being a bit strange and none of the transmissions feeling quite like my IRL ones. Doors, hood and bonnet were not openable either, hinting at it perhaps being an older mod. The 11th car I owned: Mazda 6 MPS (M) also known as the Mazdaspeed 6 Mod - Custom config - Custom tune Time: 8:41.170 Spoiler: About My Mazda 6 MPS This was definetly the fastest car I ever owned. Only recommend for race modifing, in stock form way too unreliable. Despite having relatively low mileage(199k km/124k miles) nearly everything broke and everything was expensive to replace compared to everything else I have ever owned. It was an absolute blast to drive if it decided to not break down and I still love the looks of even the normal Mazda 6 from that gen. The mod seemed a bit low effort, although the doors, hood and trunk are openable and the sound felt extremely similar to IRL(the sound is probably just the Vivace I4 Turbo sound) The 13th car I bought: BMW 525i (M) Mod - Custom config - Default tune Time: 9:13.486 Spoiler: About My BMW 525i My current daily driver. Overall decent, but something is making its idle fluctuate under load and then stall(e.g. when parking) and no mechanic can figure it out. Bought it to be a reliable but rather luxurious daily, unfortunately the reliability isn't working out with this particular e39. Did manage to get all the extras I cared about with an inline 6 petrol and manual transmission. Only cars I could ever replace it with are another e39, an e34 or a w124. The mod was not as nice this time, the model being a bit strange and none of the transmissions feeling quite like my IRL ones. Doors, hood and bonnet were not openable either, hinting at it perhaps being an older mod. It was quite fun to be able to drive cars I drove IRL in BeamNG, even though they aren't exact replicas. They all felt fairly similar to IRL, with main issues being gear ratios in the BMWs and the AWD system in the Mazda. Also the Lada felt like it had leaf springs in the back instead of coils. But overall the experience was far better than I thought it would be.
I present to you a slightly modified satsuma GT 130 early please forgive the couple of times I went off track.
The Claria is now sub-7:30 material. All it needed for that were minor mods, like 6.9l V8 Ultra-Thrust swap 6-Speed DCT gearbox Fulltime AWD Civetta Supercar Brakes As always driven and recorded on a Silicone Mac via Wine CrossOver with a Sony DualShock 4 controller.
Minor mods until the project spun out of control --- Post updated --- Could be a disconnected, dirty or broken MAF Sensor. I had those symptoms in my older BMWs back in the day. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_flow_sensor
It took me two tries to get this because of it flipping over but now I can finally say to everyone I went flat out on the Nordschleife. The reason it steers to the left was because of the torque steer explained by the author himself. A dualsense was used for this run. Car: Bock B50 Base Time: 20:47:692
I just had to lap the Bock B50, even though the result was known from @DontKnowWhy186 's run above Bock B50 Base (M) Mod - Stock config - Default tune Time: 20:32.570 It was indeed fairly straightforward to lap, just one turn had to be taken with care and a few downhill spots benefitted from pressing the clutch. But I knew I had to run it ever since I saw Nekkit was making it After a very slow and rather relaxing lap I figured a fast(ish) lap would be in order. Civetta Mondello Corse (M) Mod - Stock config - Default tune Time: 7:56.222 Just about the fastest car I can still enjoy driving, although I still prefer the Hirochi SBR4's handling. After the 1.1 update I have been really loving the Mondello That doesn't mean I didn't crash it while triyng to lap it: And the first ~10 fails I didn't save... After spending way too long playing with the Mondello it was time for something more suitable for me to take around the Nordchleife; TAZ Zignet 1300 Eport Late (M) Mod - Stock config - Default tune Time: 11:34.235 TAZ Zignet 1500 Konela Turbo Late (M) Mod - Stock config - Default tune Time: 10:09.318 TAZ Baikal 1500 Tour (M) Mod - Stock config - Default tune Time: 12:21.000 The Zignet 1300 was surprisingly oversteery, the Baikal was unbelievably slow and the Zignet 1500 Konela Turbo was incredibly ... normal, which was a surprise in itself. Spoiler: A reply to Crumple Zone about MAF Sensor I have not been able to find any fault with the MAF, but did find issues with heated O2 sensors and got them replaced. Seems better now, have to drive more to make sure it is fixed @Crumple Zone
