Put config files from two different cars in one car mod?

Is it possible to put configs (and JBeam, model, etc) into one car file? For example, I have two Tesla model 3s, one facelift, other pre facelift? If I make configs for both, then put the JBeam, model, and config files into the other, will it work? Assuming names are different and files go into the same folder
