So I have a Moza shifter and despite recalibrating, trying to clean the thing out etc it still often thinks it is in 2nd or 4th gear momentarily when returned to neutral position. Once it’s clearly in another gear it is correct and stays there. This wouldn’t be a huge problem, except that BeamNG as of now apparently thinks the gear shift being in 4th position momentarily WITH THE CLUTCH ALL THE WAY DEPRESSED is “damaging” in some cases. Is there any way to turn this aspect of the shift “logic” off?
No i dont think you can disable the synchronizer damage, but you can enable the clutch assistant so you dont have to press the clutch and your synchronizer wont get any damage.
That probably won’t fix the problem, nor do I want auto clutch . The clutch pedal is FULLY DEPRESSED when the damage is occurring. The damage occurs when for example if the game thinks you moved the stick from first gear to 4th quickly WITH THE CLUTCH PEDAL FULLY DEPRESSED. The way gear boxes are working in the game now is strange.
I think this is a bug, synchronizer damage with fully depressed clutch should only occur when shifting into reverse too quickly or moving forward.
