I don't think that's what Calais was talking about, but what you said sounds much better.

This was Tapatalk's idea, not mine.

    What I meant is this:
    hguhghsdg.png
The part located under the hood sticks out when the van isn't moving and when it is, it wobbles.
You could fix it by lenghtening the outside part of the snorkel and then fixing the bit under the hood so it doesn't wobble. But I'm happy as long as it doesn't clip through the hood :).

Ah, like that. It's a part of the engine, which clarifies the wobbling. In the first design it was a little bit back, but when I found out the mesh collided with an other part of the engine bay I moved it a bit forward. But forgot the bring it a bit down :p

I'll add it on my to-do list :)

I hate to have to say this but your mod isnt working for me. I'm not 100% sure what cache files to delete, and I copied the van a second time and put the mod files into that file and the mod wont load in-game. Any help would be awesome. I am also running experimental.

So no new parts appear in the parts selector for the existing van in game?
Ideally, entire cache. Its in documents/BeamNG/cache

Nothing is showing up actually. I'll try deleting the cache again.

Re: Van off-road, sport & Heavy Duty add-on

There are 30 files in 'van_offroad_addon.zip'. Those 30 files must be placed into the original 'van.zip' (so don't move the entire 'van_offroad_addon.zip' into 'van.zip'. There must be no folders in the 'van.zip')

There are three file's with the same filename already existing in 'van.zip', those must be overwritten by the three new ones. Do not keep those three original files in the 'van.zip' by renaming them.

If you encounter texture problems delete the cache file.

I'm not sure if I'm making such simple operation look difficult :p

@AR162B you're not making it difficult. I probably messed something up somewhere

dont think you are making anything harder, but as an experiment I just tried something else. Put all your files in a folder called van, placed the van folder in a vehicles folder and then zipped it up as van.zip much the same as the original van but only containing the modded files, but then I dumped my new van.zip in BeamNG/mods in my documents, it loaded but without wheels selected in your presets (fixable with part selector). Then I tried renaming my van.zip to offroadvan.zip while leaving its internal folder structure the same as before, again, it loaded, but with most slots empty on your presets. Much easier install that way, but the presets thing is kinda weird.

Re: Van off-road, sport & Heavy Duty add-on

I got this working with presets and everything. Make a new zip, name it van.zip. Make a folder in the zip, name it vehicles, then make a new folder inside vehicels and name it van. Copy all of the files in this mod's zip and place them in the van folder inside the new van.zip you just made. Then put the new van.zip in documents/BeamNG/mods. The mod should now work, and you will find working presets and parts on the Gavril H-series.
It seems like the game will prioritize files in the mods folder over the ones in the install folder. I've done this with all of my installed mods to keep the install folder clean, and it works with most of the mods, except some maps and a few cars (texture issues).

That is exactly what I just described and yet for me it broke presets. I then renamed it offroadvan.zip and it broke the presets further (but all parts available in game still), it does have the advantage that I can have several van mods that way though.

Its a mod for experimental only.

If you have the game installed via steam (which you should), right click BeamNG in steam library, properties, betas and there is a dropdown box to opt into experimental builds there.

The adventure version is my favorite one, and may be my favorite mod of all time actually.

One thing I'm missing is locking or limited slip differentials though. If that's already in, then I'm sorry but since the experimental build has a broken part selector there's no way for me to know if it's in the mod already or not.

The 'Adventure' has a 6.34 ratio LSD with a 500 'closedtorque' ("Gavril H-Series Off-Road LSD Rear Differential")
The 'Off-Road' has a 6.34 ratio LSD with a 1500 'closedtorque' ("Gavril H-Series Off-Road Almost Closed Rear Differential")
The 'Sport' has a 3.99 ratio LSD with a 300 'closedtorque' ("Gavril H-Series Limited Slip Rear Differential")
The 'HD van' has a 4.64 open diff ("Gavril H-Series Heavy Duty Rear Differential")

The values were inspired by the Gabester's original D15 & H15/H45 and the experience gained by my D15 mod pack ;)

Re: Van off-road, sport & Heavy Duty add-on

I'm trying fix all bugs and create all the new ideas in one go, for the moment I'm really short on time (moving, exams, homework, college, fixing/rustoration of my own car, working, fixing my temporary car, etc)

I'm trying to make a folding drive-on plate (how are they called in English?) for the back of the original boxed and flatbed H45. But I'm not sure how to texture it and it seems to be possible to assign random keys to hydros, but I still don't know how and I haven't got time to figure it out... Like I said I rather do it all at once instead of updating it many times :)

Re: Van off-road, sport, Heavy Duty & trailer add-on v0.2.0

Just updated this mod, added three trailers and some other small stuff. Also fixed some bugs. If there is anything wrong with it, I'm sorry, I will able to reply sometime tomorrow :p

See the first post for the .zip file.

    Enjoy! :)
