Re: General discussion chat Been doing some stuff with volumetric light (the beams of light in the pic below) in Autodesk 3ds max. But of course Autodesk updated volumetric light since the tutorial I followed came out so without extra information the tutorial would be useless. Didn't do much with materials so the pedestal in the middle of the room in the pic looks to be covered in smudges. Might as well post this since I've got nothing else to post.
Re: General discussion chat It was a joke, actually. I still think it's idiotic, but my point is: stupid people exist. And I don't mean joking stupid, I mean actually stupid. Which is why I'd rather not have any idiot be able to buy a gun. There are also people who shouldn't be allowed to have bullbars on their cars. I'm not saying we should ban them, but they are dangerous. Get hit by one, you're probably dead. Sure we should just forget about the stupid people and let natural selection do its work. But when stupid people put other non-stupid people in danger, then we have a problem.
Re: General discussion chat The danger with guns is people trying to kill other people, not stupid people. Every now and then you'll hear about some idiot accidentally shooting themselves or someone else, but for the most part, shootings are on purpose. I don't like gun control, cause all it will do is take the guns from the good guys. The bad guys will still find ways to get their hands on guns. And the only thing that's gonna stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Yeah, bullbars are dangerous for pedestrians, but I don't think they should be outlawed for that reason. Just don't walk out in front of any trucks. Or if a truck with a bullbar on it somehow ends up on the sidewalk, sure its dangerous for the people walking along the sidewalk, but that happens too rarely to worry about.
Re: General discussion chat Bullbars are no more dangerous than the person driving, and the big lifted trucks they are attached to. Im against gun control as it currently is. I think that anybody should have the ability to get (almost) any gun. But i think in order to get a gun, you should have to take a mandatory gun course (inb4 h8) and have a mental screening. Of course that wouldnt keep the guns out of potential criminals hands, but it would make it harder for them to get a firearm. But a lot of people getting guns nowadays dont really know much about them, dont really know how to use them, and dont properly learn about them. And that is where a lot of gun problems come from. I know a guy who wants to get a .416 magnum...for home defense. If he knew anything about guns, he would know that that is an absolutely retarded idea. I love guns, and i think that everybody should have the chance to own a gun, but i think that you should be worthy of owning one.

Its basically a cannon that you can carry. Pretty much the only thing bigger (that a civilian can get, and is relatively available) is a 50 cal
