Hey @Finn Wilkinson Can I use your Procyon brand for my next Hirochi Sunstorm update? (Kinda like the Honda/Acura NSX naming) I might very well use the Procyon name for a hybrid V8 TT config.

@DaddelZeit Is it ok for me to use your hybrid logic jbeam for the TT Hybrid V8 Sunstorm?

Don't worry I'll credit you both for the next update with hybrid powertrain.

 

The car only came out less than a year ago in lore, so not enough time has passed to justify a facelift.

Procyon is meant to be the Lexus-style luxury subsidiary of Hirochi, in the sense that they’ve moved away from rebranding Hirochi cars. I don’t believe there’s a Lexus in their 2023 range that doesn’t at least look different to the Toyota it’s based on, so I don’t believe it’d make sense for the Hirochi Sunstorm to be branded with Procyon unless the bodywork was changed and it was given a new interior (which I’m not entirely sure many people would be willing to do lol)

It seems like a really cool idea for a mod though! I like the way you’ve implemented the engine.

I hope you understand but it’ll have to be a no for now.

Does anyone have the same ludicrous fuel consumption I get on all engines?
Even the 340TD, on a 100km/h cruise on the motorway, has an average fuel consumption of 25/28 l/100km.
Can anyone confirm? I don't think it's a skill issue since I tried various cars, and they have different FC.

Don't get me wrong, I love this mod and use it every time I play BeamNG. I find that a little... odd, that's all

 

If I were to be honest, I’ve never checked the efficiency of the Centauri’s engines lol

I agree, 8-10mpg (british) is ridiculously low, so I’ll have a look. I’m not entirely sure what I can do to make a car more efficient in BeamNG but I’ll see what I can do.

 

Well to be fair, the upcoming Land Cruiser in the US and the new Lexus GS are basically the exact same vehicle..

Well, yes, but also no, the Centauri is largely based on the larger Land Cruiser/LX, and to be pedantic, the 300 series was introduced in 2022, so it does fit in line with the Centauri's.

i cannot get the automatic stop to work

 

Is it active in the part selector? If it is, the engine must be at a certain temperature in order for the auto start/stop to work (like irl)!

 

I somehow can't download it trough the repository. Anyone know why?

 

i know it wasn't forum about ETK 800 and K-series facelift but do you gonna remake it?

 

Seems like the offroad guard on the Perseverance trim freaks out after being deformed in a minor impact.

 

Does anybody know why my car is classed as a police car? Randomly suspects flee even though i am not driving the police variant of the procyon.(no police liveries or sirens or anything police related is added/attatched in config)

 

That’s a very strange bug. You’re not the only person though, as I’ve seen the same report earlier.

 

if I remember correctly the Centauri has had the police car issue since it came out

since it wasn't fixed yet, we can assume the AI is just schizophrenic

 

Yeah, they’re scared of good japanese SUV mods, imagine having a phobia like that. Yeesh.

 

Now we just need a Lake District mod to use the mountain rescue configuration in (on the side of that config it says Keswick Mountain Rescue Team, and Keswick is a place in the Lakes)!
