This thread will serve as a discussion, feedback and bug reporting thread for all my mods related to my fictional country, Republic of Wintergreen. Right now, only my license plate pack has been released. LORE (WARNING: MAY NOT MAKE LOGICAL SENSE) The Republic of Wintergreen is a large island located in North America. It was founded in 1862 by an American explorer in search of his missing son who eventually appeared six years later. It is a multilingual country, having Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Polish, and Russian-speaking communities, with English being the most spoken language. It has a population of around 225,000,000 people. LICENSE PLATE PACK This is my first mod ever made for BeamNG. This mod adds a license plate pack from the fictional country of Republic of Wintergreen. It is available in US and European sizes from 1982 to 2022. The hardest part of the mod was adjusting the license plate text position. It was worth it in the end. FORMAT EXPLANATION V - State where the vehicle was registered in. (A = Arcadia, B = Beaconville, C = Charcón, D = Dansborough, E = Engström, P = Palmeira, S = Saint Gabriel, V = Vinceworth) AA00-AA00 - Random number and letter combination. INCLUDED LICENSE PLATES 1982-1998 Spoiler: Included license plate designs 1998-2006 2006-2014 2014-2022 2022-present FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q: Are your mods free? A: They can be downloaded completely free of charge. Q: Are skins planned? A: In the near future, but I'm very bad at skin making. Q: Will you include skins for the Gavril Scout, Cherrier Picnic, Ibishu Signia, etc.? A: Given my current financial situation and modding skills, I cannot make skins for those cars. All issues it has are known. All my mods are public domain, meaning you can modify and/or improve my mods. If you want to release it, just ask me first via DM. Feel free to create your own interpretation of Republic of Wintergreen as a map mod. All feedback is appreciated. If you want to collaborate to improve this and my future mods, just DM me. Have fun, enjoy, and have a good day/night!
Pretty cool! I know this may seem like the average „expected” question, but do you think that Wintergreen had any car brands of its own? Also, I’m happy to see Poland among the list --- Post updated --- Maybe even just rebadges?
Thanks! And yes, there's a Mexican-Wintergreenian car manufacturer known as XCT, was founded in 1986, and the Mondo is one of the best-selling cars. I don't have Automation to create the entire XCT lineup right now.
Ah I see, pretty cool! I’m quite happy to see people get into modding as someone who also got into modding quite recently. --- Post updated --- Ok maybe not that recently, but you get my point.
Assuming it’s called Wintergreen, I’m guessing that a) It’s cold there b) It’s green in the winter so it’s actually hot there
(I bumped my own thread because I can) Licence plate pack version 0.3.1 has been released on the repo (a month ago)! Delete the old "zgr15_wgplatepack.zip" file before downloading the new version, as I have changed the file name. I apologise for any inconsistencies, as I may get lazy at times. Changes: Revamped all licence plate designs as I was not satisfied with how they turned out. They should look better now. Added 1966-1982 licence plate designs. It's not so cold, but not that warm, either. It is cold especially during autumn and winter, with an average of 16°C. In spring and summer, it averages 26°C. Sorry for the late reply, SSRG.
I've made other plate variations in LibreOffice as proof-of-concept (plates for heavy vehicles, public transportation, emergency services, and government vehicles). As I wanted to release the mod as quickly as possible, I have decided to only release civilian plates. I'll be making more in the near future, as long as my laziness doesn't stop me. I'd like to hear your thoughts and suggestions to improve these plate designs.
- "Vinceworth district be advised. A vehicle moving at a high speed was seen heading eastbound on Financial District. Units to attend." Work on police skins has begun! I'm currently working on the 1958-1966 skins as they are much easier to make. The skins need some improvement, though, as they are my first skins. The skin for the Autobello is unusually bright, the NFP (National Federal Police) logo on the Bluebuck is off-centred, and the NFP logo on the right side is mirrored. I might wanna add some little details here and there. If everything goes into plan, I might make: 1966-1974, 1974-1982, 1982-1990, 1990-1998, 1998-2006, 2006-2014, 2014-2022, and 2022-2030 skins. Public transportation (taxis, buses) skins. Delivery (trucks, vans and trailers) skins. Ambulance skins. More number plate variations. I'm currently only working on vanilla cars, as I don't want any further config bloat. Once (almost) all skins are finished, I probably might consider making an expanded edition that includes mods and cars from other authors to use on my configs. Feel free to make suggestions and provide feedback so I can improve my mods! Stay tuned for updates!
Here are more police skins! Unfortunately, I'm not happy with how the Bolide and Moonhawk turned out, so I guess I gotta improve them a little more.
First of all, I want to apologise for the lack of progress. I've been getting lazier and having less motivation to continue development of this pack, so that's why there hasn't been any progress for several months. This mod is therefore put on hold for now.
