In general, a lot of old American cars in this game are in need of a remaster (Burnside, Barstow, Moonhawk, GM, etc). I wish and hope that the dev's add a facelift to the GM that also includes a changed roofline (just like the crown vic), when they do a remaster. And on a side note, potentially use the current frame to make a boxy 80s American full-size RWD sedan / station wagon, as a separate vehicle in the future.

The Crown Victoria didn't have a roofline facelift but the roofline was changed when the second generation debuted, so I assume that's what you mean. But I would like a GM facelift optional grills

here are my ideas for a Grand Marshall remaster.

1990-1994 Grand Marshall is mostly the same as the current car. The Luxe version takes more inspiration from the Buick Roadmaster, with fender skirts, a hood ornament, leather interior, and possibly different taillights, as well as maybe a vinyl roof. A wagon variant could be added for the pre facelift model. Pre facelift models can have a fixed exterior antenna, power antenna for Luxe models.

1995-1997 Grand Marshall is a facelift version that primarily changes the front and rear facia as well as the
interior and steering wheel (can be taken from the Roamer), roofline and door panels should remain the same (although the door handles and mirrors could be updated). Overall, the car would have more aerodynamic styling (reminiscent of the aero Crown Victoria). The interior would receive a new dashboard and interior door panels, seats can remain the same. Wagon variant is dropped for the Roadsport, Roadsport has its own special seats, grill, and comes with a center console shifter instead of a column shifter. Luxe model takes more inspiration from the late model areo Grand Marquis. All facelift models would have the antenna integrated into the rear windscreen.

The only Grand Marshall models that have a tachometer are the interceptors and the Roadsport. All other models only have a speedometer and fuel/temperature gauges. Preface lift models can have an old-style square gauge cluster (possibly capped at 85 mph?). Post facelift would have a more modernized gauge cluster. Speedometer would be capped at 120 for most models, 140-160 for Interceptor/Roadsport. A digital gauge cluster could be added in for either pre or post facelift models (or both).

All Grand Marshall models (except for the Roadsport and interceptor) would have full bench seat. Only the Luxe Model (across all model years) and Roadsport would receive automatic climate controls as well as a CD player (possibly only on Facelift models). All Luxe models could have oldstyle pull handles as well as a hidden glove compartment on the front doors.

Interceptor models would receive the facelift redesign. However if the fleet model is still 1993-1997 (possibly extended longer to 1999/2000?), it can be the same as the pre facelift, however lacking a radio and having hand crank windows. Would be used primarily for taxi cabs and work vehicles.

Is it just me, or did the new lights improve the appeal of the car? I used to never use it, and now it’s a car I use a ton. I do think they’re a bit dark, though.

I do love the new lights but as I've said countless times before, I want a chrome grill on all the skins and not just the civilian models

Why? It’s never going to be bad to bump, because it’s an official thread and it doesn’t matter if it’s bumped

I have some ideas for a Grand Marshal remaster
Instead of the earlier models still being American land yachts, maybe have the earlier models have a 80s Camaro vibe before the eventual redesign in the late 90s
Imagine: cruising down the highway at 80 with the t-tops down and the sound of a classic V8 just grumbling along sucking all the gas it wants
    The ideal Beamng expirience

You mean, “T-tops off”. T-tops aren’t retractable, you just unlatch them and put them in the trunk.

Note that the Marshal name exists in the Bluebuck as well, a vehicle of an exceptionally similar size class. This is more than likely a situation similar to the IRL Crown Victoria name, which was originally a trim for the Ford Fairlane in 1955 and 56. The Grand Marshal name likely surfaced from the dead in the late 70s or early 80s just like the real Crown Vic.

Ah yes the Bluebuck Marshal. One of my favorite trim levels. It’s so fun

I'm just gonna say it since I got an alert off this thread.

The Grand Marshal RS is a driver's car, straight up. Even with an automatic.

Completely agree, the GM is one of the, if not the, best handling vehicle in BeamNG, especially the V8 RoadSport. The initial acceleration is very smooth without any traction control. When you hit the gas while standstill, the tire will spin but the vehicle remains fully controlled and the engine RPM will stay very close to max power range thanks to its torque converter and appropriate gear ratio. Cruising at 140mph feels as smooth as 55mph. The cornering handling is also very predictable, the transition between gripping the road and powersliding is also very gradual. Thus pulling a drift is super easy.

The polar opposite would be the ETK K-Series. The K-Series has much better acceleration, top speed and cornering performance. However the handling is much worse despite having 2nd generation of Electronic Stability Control(aka DSE, driving & safety electronics). With sophisticated traction control and computer-controlled AWD system, the initial acceleration is jerky.
The actuation of electronically-controlled front and rear limited-slip differentials are too aggressive and sometimes problematic. Cornering is also unpredictable(even you use open diff or race adjustable LSD), the vehicle often transition between understeer and oversteer that often surprise the driver, despite having Stability Control.
