    Hi,

I've been making skin mods for cars, and no matter what it is, it seems like whenever I apply the skin the metallic slider in the "paint" customisation tab stops working, and the car stays matte even when roughness is at 0 and metallic is at 100. I've also set chrominess to 80 but that just makes the skin whiter.

Any idea what causes this? I like metallic paints... thank you!

Have you set the metallic factor in the materials?

I'm not very experienced in modding, so I copied the json straight from the original file and now it has a metallic factor.

However, I realise that all the paints settings do not work at all anymore. Perhaps I need to make it colourable? Will that involve the colour palette map?

    Thanks a lot.

Yeah you need to make it colorable to use the sliders, there is no way around it.

I see In that case, would the color palette map have to be fully red?

yeah, a fully red color map will make every paintable part of the car colourable via the first colour slider:D

Hi, sorry for the super late reply, but I've managed to make it work by adding the metallic and roughness factor in the materials.json file. Thank you for your help!
