Nope. Xbox one has an octa core 1.8ghz AMD CPU. At 1.8ghz combined with being AMD it is going to struggle big time. Its GPU is also mediocre at best.

Nope. Xbox one is just not powerful enough. 360 is even worse.

Well I wouldn't say the Xbox one is not powerfull enough. It would require alot of optimization and probably help from Microsoft to make the game run on the Xbox one. Through code optimization and resource friendly programming it should be possible. But this discussion is nonsense because nobody will port BeamNG to Xbox one

As I said before this is just a matter of optimization. Sure right now it seems like the Xbox is not powerfull enough but with optimized code it is possible.

Its an AMD APU just like what we can already get our hands on in budget desktop PCs and laptops, if it can be optimised to run on that, it can be optimised on PC too. As it hasnt been optimised on PC, it stands to reason it wont run on console (especially considering how bloated the xbox one OS is supposed to be aswell)

I think the focus of the developers is not on optimization now. Just because it doesn't run good now, doesn't mean it won't run in the future.

He's most likely not asking if the hardware can run the game, he's probably asking if he can actually play the game on the xbox. Which, the answer is no obviously.

Even with all the optimization in the world, that wouldn't fix the fact that it has a shitty processor and GPU meaning it won't be able to run it any better than a 10 year old computer would.

it has nothing to do with optimization, amd cpu's don't have all that good single threaded performance (what beamng requires) so combine that with the low clock speed of the xbox one's cpu, and the bloated os, and you have a console that couldn't run it whatsoever (not to mention the fact that dev consoles are expensive)

Well i guess it would run ok if you wanted to drive a box with wheels (8 node box with wheels attached). But i doubt it will be ported, way more effort than it would be worth since Gabesters cars would perform like crap on a console.

dont forget it would also be quite expensive to do so, as dev consoles are usually quite a bit more expensive then the console itself

I thought you were meant to be able to use a normal xbox one as a devkit?

idk what happened to that actually, ik that microsoft left the dev mode on there (people figured out how to brick xbox ones using it) but i don't think it's all that useful (plus you still have to get a developer ID or something like that)

EDIT(lol, not really, beamng will combine this post with it):

the answer is no for both question, and it's not a question of optoimization either, the cpu on the xbox one is just too slow to run beamng (unless you want to defeat the purpose of the physics engine, and have a gta like crash model)
