This past weekend Beamng (Version 0.27.2.0) has been failing to launch. When I open on steam it opens the Beam launcher. When I try to launch it, even with safe mode, it loads for a few seconds and then stops. In task manager the process stops using GPU and CPU. It then will not close, even when ending task. The only way to remove the process from the task manager is by restarting my PC.

I've reinstalled Beam, Steam, rolled back windows updates, turned off all background app, turned off all firewalls, changed the drive it was installed on, made sure the drives were not corrupted, cleaned up and deleted user folders, uninstalled beammp (I havent used in months and didnt seem to fix it), and quite a few other tactics to try and make it work. One of the most probable possible causes was an update to windows firewall over the weekend, but I rolled that update back and still havent made progress.

There's a few things that sometimes happen after all of this. The first time launching it since a startup, instead of sticking around, the process just ends. All following attempts remain running. I will also occasionally get a 0x05000003 error but i havent been able to find much info about that code besides that it could have something to do with beammp (uninstalled completely). The verify integrity of game files will be correct only when the game is freshly reinstalled, and after a launch attempt it says 1 filed failed, will be reacquired.

This has been the most confusing and frustrating issue i've ever had with a game failing to launch simply because I have found so much enjoyment in the many hours ive put onto this game and the mystery on what exactly is happening. My roommate builds PC's and has no clue what else could be causing this issue, so hopefully some of yall have better understanding or even an idea of what I can do. If anyone has had a similar experience or even just more things I can try, please leave a suggestion. The only thing I will not do is uninstall and reinstall windows or clear a hard drive completely. Thanks for any help and replies!

I'm not sure but it looks like its narrowed down to a relation between BeamNG and you GPU and CPU. What's the setup?

This leads me to wonder if it's not related to an issue people have been having recently with a game file being incorrectly flagged as a virus, as such causing the game to fail to load.

    UPDATE!

I finally found something that allows the game to launch. If I unplug my steering wheel it initially launches with this in the launcher log:
1.15069|E|launchGame| process finished with exit code: 0x5000003
    1.15071|E|gameStartupError| BeamNG.drive 0.28.0.0 0x05000003
    1.15071|E|gameStartupError| 0x05000003
This is one of the same codes I got previously. A second attempt after getting this code ACTUALLY LAUNCHED THE GAME!
I'm very excited I found a way to launch the game. haven't messed around with anything yet, so I'll update again with any findings (if i can plug back in, if i need to update drivers for my wheel, ect.)

What led me to try this is I found where beamng.log is and read it. It appears it tried indexing controls for the wheel and then just stopped out of nowhere. I'll attempt a launch with it plugged in and post the log in case if anyone can figure out what's causing it to freeze.

The wheel I have is this:
Logitech G HUB G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel USB

Hopefully a dev catches this, although I know the new update just dropped. Very happy I'll be able to enjoy it, steering wheel or not.

Edit: I can plug wheel back in while game is launched, but no FFB.
