[QUESTION] How do I make the AI more competitive?

I've had lots of fun racing the AI in different cars and, but the yellow S3 in the picture (with 400hp like the plate says) just seems to beat everything from a Bastion Hotlap Special to a Scintilla Custom with more than double the power and most likely superior handling. I know it's just the AI that's slow as I raced it in identical cars and I was still first despite my subpar driving skills in Beam. How do I make the AI faster? Coz winning all the time is boring.
The Automation car in the pictures is based on a car by Yego#0157 on discord with my own tuning in case anyone's interested.
Perhaps I'm underrating the car and my skills though
