That's probably it, the seat effects really caught my eye but there's nothing clearly different about the model.
A commenter on YT raised an interesting point, do you reckon the devs will also make more interactive interiors in this update? Or will they wait for each remaster to implement them?
I'm not sure about that (maybe but we have no proof). Because of many buttons in car are already in the controls.
Most (all?) of the cars lately have had at least some triggers for the interior. Lights, Stambecco's drivetrain/TPMS, etc... It would be weird to see them not do that across the board; maybe not at the same time as the exterior doors though. I'm hoping to see more of the newer features applied to the rest of the roster as well. For example, much of the roster doesn't have underglow. Not that everything should, but there are approproate vehicles still missing it.
Even if the teaser is just about old cars being updated to new features – aka interactive parts and bloom – I'm happy they are doing it. After all, even the oldest cars still don't stand out that much, and adding those small things will surely extend their lives in the current remaster gen. Spoiler The lack of PBR and bloom on Sunburst headlights is quite off-putting, more so given the fact that the rest of the car still holds up well.
Edit: forget about it. I thought the K Series seats looked red but it was just too far away to catch the brown instantly.
"The lack of PBR and bloom on Sunburst headlights is quite off-putting, more so given the fact that the rest of the car still holds up well." Compared to: Judging by modern standards, I'm not so sure any part of the sunburst really holds up that well (That being said it's still one of my favorite cars)
I mean, a good portion of this can be upgraded easily with better textures, and the bits that desperately need replacing wouldn't be that difficult to replace (i.e., the engine). I'm not saying it doesn't need a complete rework (like the "remaster" Covet had), what I'm saying is that with much less effort it could still pass as a decent remastered car (unlike Moonhawk, which looks dated even if you look at the bare chassis).
The Sunburst's one of very few cars that actually needs a full remaster, there's other issues like misaligned models (namely, how the door panels don't align with the interior), old ESC (besides the bugs, what's the point of drift mode on a 135hp, FWD, CVT economy car ), and some jbeam oddities (for example, grab this node with a small amount of force and watch most of the engine bay, and the driver's windshield wiper for some reason, spike and jiggle around):
